A prism sheet capable of enhancing light efficiency and viewing angle characteristics, a backlight unit using the prism sheet, and a method for fabricating the prism sheet are disclosed. The prism sheet includes a transparent substrate, a plurality of grooves formed in an upper surface of the transparent substrate to extend in a parallel direction with each other and to be uniformly spaced apart from one another by a predetermined distance, a plurality of reflection patterns respectively formed in the grooves, and a plurality of lenticular lenses formed on the upper surface of the transparent substrate formed with the reflection patterns.

Prism sheet, backlight unit using the same, and method for fabricating the prism sheet

A back light unit is disclosed, which improves condensing efficiency of light and viewing angle characteristics. The back light unit includes at least one lamp generating light, a light guide plate emitting light across a surface thereof using the light generated from the lamp, a diffusion sheet arranged above the light guide plate to diffuse the light passing through the light guide plate, a first condensing sheet condensing the light from the diffusion sheet using a plurality of first elliptical condensing patterns arranged on the diffusion sheet in a first direction, and a second condensing sheet further condensing the light from the first condensing sheet using a plurality of second elliptical condensing patterns arranged on the first condensing sheet in a second direction crossing the first direction.

Back light unit

A prism sheet capable of achieving an enhancement in light efficiency and viewing angle characteristics and a backlight unit using the prism sheet are disclosed. The prism sheet includes: a condensing film which transmits light incident to the condensing film; a plurality of prism crests on the condensing film having apexes; and a plurality of reflection patterns formed on the condensing film such that each of the reflection patterns faces a boundary of adjacent prism crests associated with the reflection pattern to reflect light incident onto the reflection patterns.

Prism sheet and backlight unit using the same

A liquid crystal display panel and a method of fabricating the same capable of preventing a gravity defect of the liquid crystal display panel to improve the picture quality are disclosed. A liquid crystal display panel includes a sealant for combining a first substrate and a second substrate. One side of the sealant is located in a direction opposite to a gravity direction and has a concavo-convex shape.
