A display device includes first lead lines connecting the circuit signal lines with the driving integrated circuit, and second lead lines connecting the panel signal lines with the driving integrated circuit, wherein the second lead lines comprise a 2-1 sub-lead line configured to supply a scan-high voltage signal from the driving integrated circuit to the panel signal lines, and a 2-2 sub-lead line configured to supply a scan-low voltage signal from the driving integrated circuit to the panel signal lines, wherein the first lead lines comprises a 1-1 sub-lead line connected to the driving integrated circuit, a 1-1-1 sub-lead line separated from the 1-1 sub-lead line in a first direction, a 1-2 sub-lead line spaced apart from the 1-1 sub-lead line in a second direction intersecting the first direction, and a 1-2-1 sub-lead line spaced apart from the 1-2 sub-lead line in the second direction.

A liquid crystal display includes: a substrate; a gate line, a data line, a first storage electrode line, and a second storage electrode line positioned on the substrate; a first thin film transistor, a second thin film transistor, and a third thin film transistor connected to the gate line and the data line; a fourth thin film transistor connected to the gate line, the third thin film transistor, and the second storage electrode line; a first subpixel electrode connected to the first thin film transistor; a second subpixel electrode connected to the second thin film transistor; a third subpixel electrode connected to the third thin film transistor; and a storage electrode connected to the first storage electrode line and overlapping the first subpixel electrode. Different voltages are applied to the three subpixels to improve lateral visibility of the liquid crystal display.

A liquid crystal display ('LCD') device includes: a first display panel including a first substrate, a first pixel electrode disposed on the first substrate, and a second pixel electrode disposed on the first substrate and insulated from the first pixel electrode; a second display panel including a second substrate opposite to the first substrate, and a common electrode disposed on the second substrate; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first and second display panels and including a plurality of liquid crystal molecules. In a black state, no voltage is applied to the common electrode and an electric field is generated between the first and second pixel electrodes in a way such that the liquid crystal molecules are aligned in a vertical direction with respect to the first substrate.

A pixel of the branch includes a first branch that extends in a first diagonal direction from the horizontal stem and the vertical stem, and a second branch that extends in a second diagonal direction from the horizontal stem and the vertical stem.

There is provided a liquid crystal display including a pixel electrode including a first subpixel electrode and a second subpixel electrode. The first subpixel electrode includes a first cross stem portion positioned in a first subpixel region and first minute branches extending from the first cross stem portion, and includes first and second body portions that are positioned in a third subpixel region and separated from each other, and a plurality of first and second slit portions that extend from the first and second body portions, respectively. The second subpixel electrode includes a second cross stem portion positioned in a second subpixel region and second minute branches that extend from the second cross stem portion, and includes a third cross stem portion positioned in a third subpixel region and third minute branches that extend from the third cross stem portion.

A liquid crystal display device includes: a first substrate for which a single pixel includes: first, second and third thin film transistors on the first substrate; a pixel electrode including a first subpixel electrode and a second subpixel electrode which are connected to the first thin film transistor and the second thin film transistor, respectively; and a divided reference voltage line connected to the third thin film transistor; a second substrate facing the first substrate; a common electrode on the second substrate; and a liquid crystal layer between the pixel electrode and the common electrode and including liquid crystal molecules. The third thin film transistor includes an electrically floating gate electrode, a source electrode defined by an extended portion of a terminal of the second thin film transistor, and a drain electrode defined by an extended portion of the divided reference voltage line.

A liquid crystal display includes: a first subpixel electrode disposed on a first substrate; an insulating layer disposed on the first subpixel electrode; a second subpixel electrode disposed on the insulating layer; and a common electrode disposed on a second substrate, the second substrate facing the first substrate. The first subpixel electrode is overlapped with a portion of the second subpixel electrode, and the first subpixel electrode and the second subpixel electrode are configured to receive substantially the same electric potential.
