A temperature control system, adapted to a central processing unit powered by a power supply module of an electronic device, is provided. The temperature control system includes a setting module, a first temperature detecting module, a second temperature detecting module, and a power adjusting module. The setting module is configured to set a target temperature of the CPU and a target temperature of the power supply module. The first temperature detecting module is configured to obtain a detected temperature of the CPU. The second temperature detecting module is electrically connected to the power supply module, to obtain a detected temperature of the power supply module. The power adjusting module is configured to adjust a control parameter of the CPU or the power supply module based on a first temperature difference between the target temperature of the CPU and the detected temperature of the CPU or a second temperature difference between the target temperature of the power supply module and the detected temperature of the power supply module.

Temperature control system for central processing unit and temperature control method thereof

A computer system management method including the following steps is provided. First, a target value and at least one input parameter are set. The target value and the at least one input parameter are related to at least one of a first data type and a second data type, and the first data type is related to the second data type. Then, a first algorithm is determined based on a third data type, and an input value of the third data type is calculated by using the first algorithm. The third data type is related to the first data type and the second data type. Afterward, a second algorithm is determined based on the target value, the at least one input parameter, and the input value, and an estimated value of the second data type is calculated by using the second algorithm. A computer system is also provided.

A motherboard is provided. The motherboard includes a memory module, a processor and a memory slot. The memory module includes a first memory rank, a second memory rank, a plurality of first pins coupled to the first memory rank and a plurality of second pins coupled to the second memory rank. The processor includes a memory channel. The memory slot is coupled between the processor and the memory module, and is configured to transmit a first control signal from the memory channel to at least one of the plurality of first pins, or transmit a second control signal from the memory channel to at least one of the plurality of second pins. The first memory rank receives the first control signal through at least one of the plurality of first pins. The second memory rank receives the second control signal through at least one of the plurality of second pins.

A motherboard an electronic device using the same are provided. The motherboard includes a motherboard and a control chip. The processor is adapted to be inserted to a processor base including a plurality of pins. The pins is divided to defined pins and undefined pins. The processor base includes a plurality of electrical contacts. A first part of the electrical contacts are corresponding to the defined pins, and a second part of the electrical contacts are corresponding to the undefined pins. The control chip determines whether to make the motherboard enter an overclocking operation mode according to a control command. When the motherboard is set to be at the overclocking operation mode, the control chip transmits a control signal to the undefined pins of the processor via the second part of the electrical contacts, and then the processor improves operating efficiency.

Motherboard and electronic device using the same

An electronic device and a method for controlling over clocking of CPU are provided. A temperature sensing element is coupled with the CPU and used for sensing the temperature of the CPU. A control circuit is coupled with the temperature sensing element and the CPU used for determining whether the temperature of the CPU is higher than a first threshold temperature. When the temperature of the CPU is higher than the first threshold temperature, the control circuit controls the CPU to enter an idle mode and determines whether the temperature of the CPU is lower than a second threshold temperature. When the temperature of the CPU is lower than the second threshold temperature, the CPU is controlled to return to a normal mode. The first threshold temperature is higher than the second threshold temperature, and the clock rate of the CPU is maintained at same clock rate.

Electronic device and clock rates controlling method of overclocking operation

A computer device and frequency adjusting method for central processing unit are provided. The computer device including a CPU, a voltage regulator module, a clock generator, a power-on module, a chip set and an embedded controller. The power-on module activates the voltage regulator module, the clock generator and the CPU respectively. The voltage regulator module provides the operating voltage of the CPU. The clock generator provides the operating clock of the CPU. Before the CPU is activated, the embedded controller adjusts the operating clock and the operating voltage provided from the clock generator and the voltage regulator module the CPU, the CPU performs overclocking/downclocking directly by using the adjusted operating clock and the adjusted operating voltage after the CPU is activated.
