A display device includes a substrate comprising a plurality of pixel areas and a non-pixel area surrounding each of the plurality of pixel areas. The non-pixel area includes a plurality of first areas and a second area surrounding the plurality of first areas. A functional layer is disposed on the substrate and includes a plurality of first holes defined through the functional layer and overlapping the plurality of first areas. An element layer is disposed on the functional layer. A pixel definition layer is disposed on the element layer and overlaps the non-pixel area. The pixel definition layer includes pixel openings defined therethrough. The pixel openings overlap the plurality of pixel areas. A plurality of light emitting elements is disposed on the element layer and is disposed in the pixel openings.

Display device

A display device includes a window on which a fingerprint detection region in which fingerprint information is detected is defined, an optical layer disposed below the window and in which at least one transmission hole overlapping the fingerprint detection region is defined, a protection layer disposed below the optical layer, and a sensor. A refractive index of the protection layer is greater than a refractive index of the window. A distance from the optical layer to the window is less than a distance from the optical layer to the sensor.

Organic light emitting display device

An organic light emitting display device, and more particularly, to an organic light emitting display device that reduces (or prevents) penetration of moisture into ends of inorganic layers and a lifting phenomenon between inorganic layers, by increasing areas of a plurality of inorganic layers included in a thin film encapsulation layer in sequence.

An organic light emitting display device includes: a substrate; a display unit on the substrate; and an encapsulation layer on the display unit, the encapsulation layer including a plurality of inorganic layers and a plurality of organic layers, the plurality of inorganic layers and the plurality of organic layers being alternately located, and the plurality of organic layers being at a region where the plurality of inorganic layers is located. The plurality of inorganic layers covers the display unit and is sequentially on the substrate, and areas of each of the inorganic layers are increased moving in a direction away from the display unit.

An organic light emitting display apparatus and a method of manufacturing the organic light emitting display apparatus are disclosed. In one embodiment, the organic light emitting display apparatus includes: i) a substrate, ii) a display unit formed on the substrate, iii) an encapsulation substrate formed over the display unit, iv) a sealant bonding the substrate and the encapsulation substrate and v) a filler formed in the space defined by i) the substrate, ii) the sealant and iii) the encapsulation substrate, wherein the filler comprises a first region and a second region which have different levels of hardness.

Provided are an organic light emitting display device and a method of manufacturing the same. The organic light emitting display device includes a substrate; an sealing substrate facing the substrate, an organic light emitting unit disposed between the substrate and the sealing substrate and having a plurality of organic light emitting devices emitting light, and a plurality of grooves formed in a light extracting surface of the organic light emitting display device through which the light is emitted to the outside. In one embodiment, the grooves are formed on the sealing substrate, and in another embodiment, the grooves are formed on the substrate.

Method of manufacturing substrate and organic emitting display device having the substrate

Provided are an organic light-emitting display device and a manufacturing method of the organic light emitting display device. The organic light-emitting display device includes: a substrate; a display unit formed on the substrate; an encapsulation substrate formed above the display unit; a first sealant bonding the substrate and the encapsulation substrate; a filler formed between the substrate and the encapsulation substrate; and a second sealant interposed between the first sealant and the filler so as to separate the filler from the first sealant, wherein a distance of a portion of the substrate and the encapsulation substrate is smaller than that of other portions of the substrate and the encapsulation substrate. Accordingly, penetration of impurities, such as oxygen or water, from the outside into the organic light emitting display device is prevented.

Organic light emitting display device and method of manufacturing thereof

Disclosed are light emitting display and method of manufacturing the same. The light emitting display according to the present embodiments includes a first substrate including a plurality of light emitting devices and a pad portion, all of which are formed therein; a second substrate disposed to face the light emitting devices; and a bonding layer bonded to the light emitting devices and the second substrate, wherein a stepped portion is formed at a predetermined depth in an edge of the second substrate that is adjacent to the pad portion, and the bonding layer is extended to the stepped portion. Since the bonding layer is not bonded to the pad portion due to the depth of the stepped portion when the second substrate is bonded to the first substrate, poor electrical contact may be prevented, and it easy to remove the encapsulation substrate to expose the pad portion. Also, the manufacturing process is simple, the process uniformity is high and the process time is short since the bonding layer is formed in the front of the second substrate.

A flat panel display apparatus includes a flat display panel including first and second substrates facing each other with a display unit therebetween, the first substrate extending beyond the second substrate, a portion of the first substrate extending beyond the second substrate defining a protruding portion, an outermost edge of the protruding portion defining a protruding edge of the first substrate, and corners of the protruding portion being chamfered, and a bezel surrounding the flat display panel.
