A heat collector includes a heat absorption surface, an opposite heat focus surface and one or more surrounding sides. A matrix of the heat collector is a thermally conductive material. There is a plurality of adiabatic pores mixed within the matrix. A relative concentration distribution of the adiabatic pores increases from the heat absorption surface to the heat focus surface, and decreases from the surrounding sides to a center of the heat collector. The shape of the heat collector can be rectangular, cylindrical, prismatic, plate-shaped, square, or polyhedral. The heat collector can draw heat generated from electrical components, and collect the generated heat for reuse in order to enhance energy efficiency.

An exemplary driving circuit for a light-emitting diode having a positive terminal includes a resistor having first terminal and second terminal, a field-effect transistor, and a width-pulse modulation circuit. The second terminal of the resistor is connected to the positive terminal of the light-emitting diode. The field-effect transistor includes a source electrode and a gate electrode, the source electrode being connected to the first terminal of the resistor. The pulse-width modulation circuit is configured for modulating a voltage across the resistor so as to control the grate electrode of the field-effect transistor.

Driving circuit for light-emitting diode

A camera module includes a lens holder (), a lens module (), a position detecting mechanism (), and an image pick-up module (). The lens holder has a recessed portion axially defined in an inner periphery thereof adjacent one end thereof. The lens module is axially movably received in the lens holder. The position detecting mechanism includes a light source () disposed in the periphery of the lens holder opposite to the recessed portion to emit a light, and a photo-detector () securely received in the recessed portion, and a processor (). The photo-detector has a plurality of photo-detector components () arranged in the recessed portion parallel to each other so that each can separately receive the lights from the light source and transform the light into an electrical signal. The processor is electrically connected with each photo-detector component for transforming the electrical signal into an output signal.

A light guide plate () has a light incidence surface () for receiving light, a light emitting surface () for emitting light, and a bottom surface (). The bottom surface has a plurality of diffusion elements () arranged thereat. Each diffusion element defines a diffraction grating unit () therein. A grating direction of each diffraction grating unit is substantially perpendicular to a main direction of light beams received by the diffraction grating unit. Areas of the diffraction grating units progressively increase with increasing distance away from the light incidence surface. Diffractive capabilities of the diffraction grating units progressively increase with increasing distance away from the light incidence surface. These features improve the overall efficiency of utilization of light, and enable the light emitting surface to output highly uniform light.

The conductive terminals are securely arranged on an inner periphery of the lens holder parallel to each other. A cathode of each electrical source is electrically connected to a corresponding conductive terminal. The processor is electrically connected with an anode of each electrical source. The image pick-up module is arranged so as to receive the light from the lens module.

An temperature control apparatus includes a temperature detecting element (), a control circuit (), and a thermoelectric unit (). The temperature detecting element contacts to a first surface () of a predetermined target (). The control circuit is electrically connected to the temperature detecting element. The thermoelectric unit is electrically connected to the control circuit, and contacts a second surface of the predetermined target. The temperature detecting element detects a temperature signal. The temperature signal is input into the control circuit. The control circuit changes the temperature signal into an electrical current signal, and the electrical current signal drives the thermoelectric unit to control the temperature of the predetermined target.

An apparatus () for measuring a thickness of a thin article according to an embodiment of the present apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes an optical fiber interferometer (), a signal processor module () and a measuring module (). The optical fiber interferometer is configured for obtaining an optical distance difference. This optical distance difference is a result of the thickness of the thin article between a first optical path in which the thin article is measured and a second optical path. The signal processor module is configured for converting an optical distance difference into a phase difference and processing the optical distance difference to obtain a linear signal. That linear signal is convertible into a thickness value of the thin article.

The intervening optical signal generator is for generating two intervening optical signals. Each photo-electronic conversion circuit is for converting one intervening optical signal into an electronic signal. Top and bottom ends of the carbon nanotubes perpendicularly contact the integrated heat spreader and the die respectively. Each carbon nanotube can be capsulated in a nanometer-scale metal having a high heat conduction coefficient.

A light guide device () and a backlight module () using the same. The light guide device includes a light guide plate () and a reflective mirror (). The light guide plate has at least one light receiving surface (), and two opposite light emitting surfaces (). The reflective mirror is set between the light emitting surfaces, and is integrally manufactured with the light guide plate. The light guide device and backlight module using the same may be applied to optoelectronic devices, such as liquid crystal displays, overhead projectors, etc. The light guide device has a simple structure, and transforms light from at least one light source () into two surface light sources emitting light with uniform brightness.
