A method for determining if a papillary print is comprised of living human tissue or not, using a papillary print sensor comprising in superposition, a contact surface, an array optical sensor, and a plurality of illuminating devices parallel between them. The method comprises illumination of the papillary print by the illuminating devices forming together, on the contact surface, a light pattern which is uniform along an axis that extends from one side to the other of a detecting surface of the array optical sensor, and acquisition of an image by the array optical sensor, with these steps being implemented at least once; in each image, selection of the pixels corresponding to the valleys or ridges of the print; and using the pixels selected, extraction of an optical characteristic defining the response to illumination, of the material comprising the papillary print.

Method for recognising a false papillary print by structured lighting

A papillary print sensor comprising in superposition a contact surface to which the print to be imaged is intended to be applied, an array optical sensor and illuminating device. The illuminating device is arranged between the contact surface and a detecting surface of the array optical sensor, and consists of a plurality of organic light-emitting diodes, referred to as OLEDs. Each OLED extends uninterruptedly over more than a third of a width (L1) of the detecting surface, and the OLEDs extend together along one or two series of patterns that are parallel to one another and distributed along the length (L2) of the detecting surface. This configuration of the OLEDs allows in particular the transistors for controlling the OLEDs to be placed off the detecting surface ().

OLED-illuminated print sensor

A method and system for acquiring and analyzing fingerprints with fraud detection in which an image of a fingerprint of an object is formed and the object is irradiated by means of an energizing beam. A fluorescence emitted by the object in response to the energizing beam is analyzed and a validity criterion is established from the analysis of fluorescence and making it possible to discriminate biological tissue from other objects is verified. A region of interest, capable of characterizing the biological tissues is selected on the fingerprint image, where the region of interest defines a useful observation area on the object by correspondence, and the validity criterion is established from measurements of fluorescence intensity relative to the observation area only.

Method and system for acquiring and analysing fingerprints with fraud detection

A device for a bimodal diagnostic probe with optical and ultrasonic imaging, the probe including a main body supporting an ultrasonic transducer at its front end. The device includes a shell, an illumination mechanism mounted on a front end of the shell to light outside of the shell, and a collection or detection mechanism mounted on the front end of the shell to collect or detect an optical signal produced outside the shell. The shell includes an attachment mechanism to reversibly assemble it around the main body of the probe, with the illumination mechanism and the collection or detection mechanism mounted on the shell.

A system for reconstructing optical properties of a diffusing medium including at least one pulsed radiation source capable of illuminating the diffusing medium, at least one first detector of a first type, capable of receiving a signal emitted by the medium, the first detector being a time-resolved detector, and an information processing unit for processing at least one source&#x2014;first detector pair, a time distribution of the signal received by the corresponding first detector. The reconstruction system also includes at least one second detector of a second type, each second detector being made up of a set of pixel(s) from an image sensor capable of acquiring an image of the medium, and the second detector being capable of measuring an intensity of the signal emitted by the medium, the intensity corresponding to an equivalent moment of order 0 for the corresponding source&#x2014;second detector pair.

System for reconstructing optical properties in a diffusing medium, comprising a pulsed radiation source and at least two detectors of two different types, and associated reconstruction method

A coupling device for an optical fiber used in optical tomography examination of a medium includes a mass of diffusing material for a wavelength guided by the optical fiber. This mass includes a bearing surface to be applied against the surface of the medium. At least one housing is provided in the mass to receive the end of the optical fiber.

Method and device for diffuse excitation in imaging

A phantom for medical imaging instrumentation, the phantom including a first hydrogel matrix, said matrix containing additives for simulating the optical and acoustic properties of a living organ or tissue. In the phantom, the additives include Indian ink or haemoglobin, silica powder and titanium dioxide powder. The phantom may contain a tumor simulator in solid or liquid form. It may also comprise several hydrogel matrices, each matrix including additives in different concentrations depending on the organ or tissue simulated. A method of producing the phantom includes one or more freeze-thaw cycles for optimizing the characteristics of the phantom.
