The disclosed system receives a first request from a first user device to record, using a first camera, a first image of an object in a surrounding environment. The first request includes an indication to zoom the first camera, wherein zooming the camera enlarges an appearance of the object in the image. The system sends a second request to a second user device to record a second image of the object. The second user device is closer to the object than the first user device. A first orientation of the first user device and a second orientation of the second user device satisfies a first criterion. The system causes the second user device to record the second image of the object using the second camera, receives the second image from the second user device, and provides the second image to a display of the first user device.

The present technology is generally directed to multi-user screen sharing. In some embodiments, a method for media content screen sharing includes receiving a first media content item selection from a first user and receiving a second media content item selection from a second user. The method can further include generating a multi-content video signal, wherein the multi-content video signal includes the selected first media content item and the selected second media content item. The multi-content video signal can be displayed to both the first user and the second user. The method can include causing a first electronic device of the first user to display a first portion of the multi-content video signal that corresponds to the selected first media content item, and causing a second electronic device of the second user to display a second portion of the multi-content video signal that corresponds to the selected second media content item.

Devices, systems, and methods for multi-user screen sharing

Devices, systems and process for automated event ticketing are disclosed. A system includes: a user device having a data store and a processor coupled to the data store; a set top box ('STB'), coupled to the user device, having an STB data store and an STB processor; and at least one event server, coupled to the STB providing event data and event ticketing data for a plurality of events. Based on user preference data received from the user device, the STB processor searches the plurality of events for a given event which matches, at least in part, the user preference data, and when instructed by the STB, the event ticketing engine facilitates ticketing of the given user to the given event. When executed, first computer instructions instantiate a content application that performs content monitoring and user preferencing, and based on the foregoing generates user preference data.

A process for rendering objects includes detecting a first surface of an object oriented in a first position. A first image is captured with a camera and at least partially captures a first marker on the first surface. A prompt requests manipulation of the object into a second position to expose a second surface to the camera in response to detecting a missing image of a marker. A second image of the second surface is captured with the camera and at least partially captures a second marker on the second surface. The object is rendered as a virtual representation in a virtual environment in response to detecting the first marker in the first image and the second marker in the second image. The size of the virtual representation is estimated based on the detected size of at least one of the first marker and the second marker.

A system includes a server, a host user device and a client user device—both coupled to the server, a content capture device (CCD) coupled to the host user device, and a content provider coupled to the host user device and the client user device. The content provider provides primary content segments. The CCD provides cell phone content which the host user device provides the cell phone content to the server. The server synchronizes a providing of the cell phone content with a presentation of the primary content segments by the client user device such that the presentations of the cell phone content and the primary content segments occur substantially simultaneously on the host user device and the client user device.

Embodiments described herein are directed at mapping and controlling network-enabled IoT devices housed in an environment via a graphical user interface (GUI) of an electronic device. The disclosed features include generating a digital map representing the 3D or the 2D position of the IoT devices in the environment. In some embodiments, the digital map can be overlaid on a layout of a physical floorplan of the environment also showing physical objects in the environment. Different IoT devices in the environment can be controlled via a GUI common to the different IoT devices. Described are systems, methods and computer program products for suggesting television programs to a user by, for example, analyzing closed caption or subtitle content of unwatched or unrecorded video content to determine if the video content is of interest to the user. The user may indicate one or more keywords for use in the analysis and the analysis may scan the text of the closed caption or subtitle content to identify matches to the keywords. Beside user input keywords, the keywords may also be determined through analysis of video content watched or recorded by the user to determine frequently encountered words. These frequently encountered words may automatically be used in matching the text of the closed caption or subtitle content. The users may also or alternatively select particular words of the frequently encountered words to use for matching.

Methods, devices and systems are provided for provisioning an output device for use with a media device to produce synchronized audio and video portions of media content. An exemplary method involves a media device identifying a device type associated with the output device, obtaining synchronization settings for the device type from a server via a network, and presenting audiovisual content in accordance with the synchronization settings obtained from the server.
