A cable clamp for an electrical connector in which first and second clamping walls are moved into overlapping relation to deform transversely and trap between them a portion of the cable to be terminated. Cam means urge overlapping portions of the walls together into gripping engagement with the trapped cable portion and cable gripping means insure that cable is only drawn from one direction during clamping to avoid straining the termination.

Cable clamp for an electrical connector

An electrical ballast for use with fluorescent light fixtures includes a housing with side and endwalls. The endwalls have cutout portions therein for receiving an electrical connector. The electrical components which comprise the ballast are mounted on a printed circuit board, and the connector is electrically interconnected to the printed circuit board and inserted within the cutout portion of the ballast housing. The connector is profiled for receipt within the cutout portion to seal the cavity within the housing during the curing period of the potting compound.

An electrical connector comprising a metal sleeve having a locking cap rotatably mounted on the sleeve to extend from a mating end, a generally cylindrical, insulating, terminal-locating block receivable as a close fit within the sleeve to locate terminals projecting from the mating end and a retention bush to retain the terminal-locating block in the sleeve. This invention relates to a card edge connector, multiple numbers of which are arranged in banks and interconnected by discrete wires. The present invention provides a system for lacing wires through passageways and channels, thereby aligning the wires for insertion within slotted plate electrical contacts. One or a pair of wires may be inserted in each contact. Wire gripping strain relief is provided in each of the wire aligning passageways. The passageways and channels position the wire in an orderly arrangement in different planes within the connectors. Wire retention gates prevent removal of the wires from the channels and passageways.
