An inhaler for inhalation of a formulation in powder form includes: a magazine which is rotatable and contains pre-dosed doses of the formulation in capsules, a housing which is substantially round or disc-shaped, the housing having a housing part in which the rotatable magazine is disposed, where the housing part is fixedly coupled to the rotatable magazine, and is removable from the housing in order to facilitate replacement of the magazine by inserting a new magazine.

Inhaler

An inhaler including a magazine having capsules, a mouthpiece and a cover associated with the mouthpiece, where the cover is radially movable and pivotable for open or closing of the mouthpiece, by pivoting the cover the magazine is conveyed from one capsule to the next capsule, and by radial movement of the cover a capsule is moved in a radial direction into a discharge position.

The invention relates to a system composed of an inhaler and a capsule, preferably intended for single use. The capsule contains a preferably powdered pharmaceutical preparation which, for inhalation, is expelled from the capsule through at least one hole. The capsule comprises as capsule elements a capsule cap and a capsule body, at least one of which comprises at least one prefabricated hole. The prefabricated hole in the capsule is sealed off in the transporting state of the system and is open in the usage state. The hole is exposed by actuation of a pulling mechanism. Prior to this the hole is closed off by a capsule receptacle or a film. In one embodiment the capsule may be present in two different states, for example in different insertion positions of the capsule elements. In the first state the prefabricated hole is closed off and in the second it is exposed. Also shown is an inhaler suitable as a disposable product, which is manufactured from thermoformed parts or from blister film.

System composed of inhaler and capsule

The invention relates to a capsule for receiving a preferably powdered pharmaceutical preparation and an inhaler in which, for inhalation, the preparation is expelled from the capsule through at least one hole. A capsule according to the invention comprises as capsule elements a capsule cap and a capsule body, at least one of which comprises at least one prefabricated hole. Systems according to the invention comprising inhalers and capsules are described, in which the prefabricated hole in the capsule is sealed off in the transporting state of the system and is open in the usage state. The hole is exposed by actuation of a pushing or pulling mechanism. Prior to this the hole is closed off by part of the capsule itself or by a capsule receptacle belonging to the inhaler. In one embodiment the capsule may be present in two different states, for example in different insertion positions of the capsule elements. In the first state the prefabricated hole is closed off and in the second it is exposed. Another system according to the invention consists of a capsule body open at the top and an inhaler, the capsule that is open at the top being filled inside the inhaler.

Inhalator and capsule for an inhalator

An inhaler for delivering a preferably powdered formulation from a blister strip having a plurality of blister pouches. In order to achieve a compact simple construction for the inhaler and an easy action for the blister strip, the carrier extends over a circumferential angle of the inhaler of less than 360&#xb0;. In particular, the carrier is guided between two deflectors with an at least substantially constant curvature, and preferably, exclusively along an outer wall of the inhaler. A conveying device of the inhaler has four drive wheels of the same diameter which are arranged on a common radius and are driven by common drive means in the same direction of rotation.

An inhaler for delivery of a powder-form inhalation formulation from a blister strip with a plurality of blister pockets is proposed. A flexible guiding element receives the used blisters strip.

An inhaler for delivery of a powder-form inhalation formulation from a blister strip has a plurality of blister pockets and uses a pivotable mouthpiece cover to move the blister strip onward via a conveyor, wherein the mouthpiece cover is drivingly coupled with the conveyor by engaging an axle in a recess to drive a conveying wheel.
