A gravity-style furnace subunit for a gas-induced draft furnace. A heat conduction tube configured to be located inside of a gas-induced draft furnace cabinet, the heat conduction tube being separated from a row of draft-induced heat conduction tubes inside the cabinet. A burner assembly having a burner tube located within the heat conduction tube through an inlet opening of the heat conduction tube. The burner assembly permits air flow through the inlet opening into the heat conduction tube. A pilot assembly located within the heat conduction tube and adjacent to the burner tube. A thermopile module having located adjacent to a flame outlet of the pilot assembly within the heat conduction tube. A gas valve configured to control gas flow to the burner assembly, the gas valve electrically coupled to the thermopile module and to actuate gas flow there-through when the thermopile module generates a predefined voltage difference.

Gravity-style furnace subunit inside a gas-induced draft furnace

A nitrogen oxide reduction baffle for a heat exchanger of a furnace and a gas furnace incorporating at least one such baffle. In one embodiment, the baffle includes: (1) a body having a predetermined length, cross-sectional configuration and longitudinal slot, the longitudinal slot having a predetermined width and position and (2) a locating structure coupled to the body and configured to place the body in a predetermined longitudinal location within a heat exchanger and orient the slot relative to the heat exchanger, the body laterally constrained within the heat exchanger when the body is located at the predetermined longitudinal location.

Self-locating nitrogen oxide reduction baffle for furnace and gas furnace incorporating the same

A lamp holder comprising a lamp holder base, a lamp holder housing and a microswitch. In a preferred embodiment, the lamp holder base has a longitudinal axis and an actuator finger coupled to and shielded within the lamp holder base. The lamp holder housing is removably coupleable to the lamp holder base, and the microswitch is mounted within the lamp holder housing, wherein the microswitch is activated by the actuator finger when the lamp holder housing is inserted into and rotated with respect to the lamp holder base.

A water distribution tray having an improvement including a first downwardly inclined surface therein commencing at a base of a water impingement pedestal within a first of a plurality of channels and ending at a corresponding first of a plurality of discharge apertures, wherein the first downwardly inclined surface has a first declension angle associated therewith, and a second downwardly inclined surface commencing at the base within a second of the plurality of channels and ending at a corresponding second of the plurality of discharge apertures, wherein the second downwardly inclined surface has a second declension angle associated therewith different from the first declension angle. A method of manufacturing is also provided.

A lamp holder comprising a lamp holder base, a lamp holder housing and a microswitch. In a preferred embodiment, the lamp holder base is substantially cup-shaped around a longitudinal axis and has an arcuate actuator finger coupled to and shielded within the lamp holder base. The lamp holder housing is removably coupleable to the lamp holder base, and the microswitch is mounted within the lamp holder housing, wherein the microswitch is activated by the arcuate actuator finger when the lamp holder housing is coupled to the lamp holder base.
