A protector for protecting a wearer is disclosed herein. The protector includes a protection element extending along an axis between first and second ends. The protection element has an inner surface for at least partially contacting a wearer, an outer surface opposite the inner surface, and an outer edge. The protector also includes at least one elastic band arrangement connected to the outer edge at two places and overlaying the inner surface and being operable to allow at least a portion of the wearer to be received between the at least one elastic band and the inner surface. The protector also includes at least one friction element coupled to the inner surface and discreet from the at least one elastic band. The at least one friction element defines a greater coefficient of friction than the inner surface and is thereby more operable to minimize movement of the protection element relative to the wearer than the inner surface. The at least one friction element and the at least one elastic band are spaced from one another along the axis such that either the at least one friction element or the at least one elastic band can tend to limit sliding movement of the protector as the portion of the wearer expands or contracts during use.

No-slip protector

A upper body protective garment for cushioning blows imparted upon the wearer's body includes a chest protector portion, a back protector portion, and a pair of telescopic shoulder protector portions. These protector portions preferably form a single integral unit. Each telescopic shoulder protector portion includes an inner-shoulder protector portion and an outer-shoulder protector portion that is telescopically coupled to the inner-shoulder protector portion. The outer-shoulder protector portion is moveable between an extended position and a retracted position for allowing an individual wearing the protective garment to raise his arm without interference from the telescopic shoulder protector portion.

A protective garment for a torso is disclosed herein. The protective garment includes a protector portion having an outer surface and an inner surface. The protective garment also includes a screen layer disposed below the outer surface.

A upper body protective garment for cushioning blows imparted upon the wearer's body includes a chest protector portion, a back protector portion, and a pair of telescopic shoulder protector portions. The protective garment includes a variety of different designs formed in the outer surface of the chest protector, the back protector portion and the pair of shoulder protector portions. The designs are formed by radio frequency welding a plurality of different fabric pieces together.

A lacrosse head that is constructed of multiple different materials or components having different strength characteristics with the stronger materials or components located in predetermined locations to provide increased resistance to flex and/or breakage in those areas while allowing desired flex in some areas. The lacrosse head is co-formed of the multiple different materials by such processes as injection molding, gas assist injection molding, compression molding, thermal forming and extrusion such that the multiple different materials are coupled to form a single integrated structure.

A protective garment for an arm is disclosed herein. The protective garment includes a protector portion having an outer surface and an inner surface. The protective garment also includes a screen layer disposed below the outer surface.

A lacrosse head with improved weight and handling characteristics includes a frame element having a base portion, a scoop portion, and a pair of opposing sidewall portions extending between the base portion and the scoop portion. The frame element includes one or more cavities integrally formed within one or more of the sidewall portions, the base portion, and the scoop portion. In addition, the lacrosse head includes a no-skid surface integrated with a portion of the frame element. This surface is intended to create friction between the no-skid surface and a lacrosse ball, as well as to absorb kinetic energy of the lacrosse ball preventing the ball from inadvertently bouncing out of the lacrosse head or rattling therein.

Lacrosse head and method of forming same

A reinforced lacrosse head having improved strength includes a pair of opposing sidewall portions each having a top end and a bottom end, a scoop portion extending between the sidewall portions, a base portion extending between the bottom ends of the sidewall portions, and a throat portion extending from the base portion for attachment to a lacrosse handle. This reinforced lacrosse head has one or more reinforcement members that are coupled to one or more portions of the lacrosse head.

Reinforced lacrosse head

A lacrosse head () is provided for improving ball retention and throwing accuracy. The lacrosse head () includes a pair of opposing sidewall portions () each having a top end, a bottom end, and an inner intermediate section with a shelf () integrated therein. Each shelf assists a user in retaining a lacrosse ball within the lacrosse head (). The top ends of the opposing sidewall portions () are connected to each other by a scoop portion () that has a non-skid surface formed thereon for gripping the lacrosse ball. The bottom ends of the opposing sidewall portions () are connected by a base portion ().

Lacrosse head

A non-skid lacrosse ball for gripping a lacrosse head and a netting attached to the lacrosse head is provided. The non-skid lacrosse ball is a spherical ball having one or more non-skid surfaces formed substantially thereacross. In one embodiment, the non-skid surface is a textured surface comprised of relatively small surface structures that are integral parts of the spherical ball. Furthermore, both the non-skid surface and the spherical ball are comprised of an elastomer material.

A no-slip elbow pad () for securely fastening to a user's arm and adequately protecting the user's arm. The no-slip elbow pad () includes a padding element () having an inner lining () and an outer lining (). The padding element () has at least two bands () integrally connected thereto. These bands () overlay the inner lining () of the padding element () and are intended to secure the no-slip elbow pad () to the user's arm. The inner lining () has at least one friction element () integrated thereon. Each friction element () is intended to engage the user's arm to prevent the no-slip elbow pad () from sliding out of a desired position.

A lacrosse head having a netting with a shallow pocket is provided for improving the handling and the retention of a lacrosse ball. The lacrosse head includes a frame element comprised of a pair of opposing sidewalls that each have a top end and a bottom end, a scoop portion connecting the top ends of the sidewalls, and a base portion connecting the bottom ends of the sidewalls. Furthermore, the lacrosse head includes a netting that is coupled to the opposing sidewalls. This netting has one or more partitions coupled thereto for substantially defining a ball retention region and one or more peripheral regions of the netting. These partitions protrude outwardly from the netting and are adapted for contacting a lacrosse ball and retaining the lacrosse ball within the ball retention region.
