A method of making a business form includes using a control bond adhesive created by mixing: (i) a first quantity of an adhesive; (ii) a second quantity of water; (iii) a third quantity of gypsum; and (iv) a fourth quantity of fumed silica. The method includes removably securing a first portion of said business form to a second portion of said business form.

A method to print indicia on a substrate comprises attaching a portable printer to an automated arm. The method includes detecting the substrate using a sensor. The method comprises printing indicia on a first face of the substrate using the portable printer. Methods of making labels devoid of liner plies. A method of making a label for securement to a substrate comprises providing a face ply having a top side and a bottom side. The method includes disposing a hotmelt adhesive on the bottom side in a pattern. The method comprises formulating a liner coating configured to be activated by a fluid. The method includes disposing the liner coating on the bottom side outwardly adjacent the hotmelt adhesive. The bottom side is configured to be secured to a substrate via the hotmelt adhesive upon activation of the liner coating by the fluid.

A duplex liner for a label. A method for making a label comprises providing a printable face ply. The method comprises making a duplex liner by: (a) providing a transparent first liner ply; (b) providing a second liner ply that is configured to be printable; and (c) using a binder to bind the first liner ply to the second liner ply. The method includes releasably securing the duplex liner to the printable face ply.

Duplex liners and methods of making and using same

A business form comprises a first portion and a second portion adhesively secured to the first portion via a control bond adhesive. The control bond adhesive is a mixture comprising: between about 1 kg and 2 kg of a flexible adhesive; between about 1 kg and 2 kg of water; between about 12 g and 16 g gypsum, and between about 13 g and 23 g fumed silica.

A duplex label. The duplex label has a first face ply having a printable upper side and a lower side, and a second face ply having an upper side and a printable lower side. A layer of patterned adhesive is situated underneath the lower side of the first face ply. A displaceable liner coating comprising an enabler, a facilitator, and a stabilizer is formulated, and the layer of patterned adhesive is covered with the displaceable liner coating. The displaceable liner coating is activated by bringing the displaceable liner coating in contact with a fluid. The second face ply is secured to the first face ply using the activated displaceable liner coating such that the printable upper side faces away from the printable lower side. The first face ply is secured to the substrate, and the second face ply is sandwiched between the first face ply and the substrate.

Dissolvable adhesive liner label and methods of making and using same

A method for printing and applying labels comprises printing indicia on a first label using a printer to form a first printed label and holding the first printed label in a holding tray. The method includes moving an arm from an original position to a first position to collect the first printed label from the holding tray, and rotating the arm in a first direction to move the first printed label towards a substrate. The method comprises moistening the first printed label to activate a dissolvable liner of the first printed label. The method includes using the arm to apply the moistened first printed label to the substrate. The arm is rotated in a second direction away from the substrate. The printer prints a second label before the arm returns to the original position to collect the second label from the holding tray.

Labeling systems and methods of making and using same

A shipping label is formed of a single ply and is configured to be removably adhered to a liner. The shipping label has a front face configured for the printing of indicia. The label has a back face having a first strip of adhesive, a second strip of adhesive, and a printable area. The first and second adhesive strips respectively extend along a top edge and a bottom edge of the shipping label. The printable area is between the first and second adhesive strips. The liner associated with the shipping label is configured to be removably secured to the first and second adhesive strips. The printable area is adapted to be printed while the liner is removably secured to the first and second adhesive strips.

A duplex liner for a shipping label. A method for making a liner for a shipping label comprises providing a first ply. The first is a clear plastic sheet. The method includes providing a second ply. The second ply comprises printable paper. The method comprises applying a copolymerized emulsion on an underside of the first ply, and using press rollers to press the first ply against the second ply to cause the copolymerized emulsion to fuse the first ply and the second ply.

A method of configuring tape for securement to a substrate. The tape has a face ply comprising an upper side and a lower side. The method comprises formulating a liner coating by: (a) creating a mixture comprising a non-toxic remoistenable adhesive and activated coconut carbon filtered water; and (b) adding gypsum to the mixture. The method comprises situating an adhesive on the lower side and covering the hot-melt adhesive on the lower side with the liner coating. The method includes using moisture to dispel the liner coating before the tape is applied to the substrate.

A method of making a label and securing the label to a substrate. The method comprises formulating a dissolvable liner coating. The label has a face stock comprising an upper side and a lower side. The dissolvable liner coating comprises each of a remoistenable adhesive, activated coconut carbon filtered water, and gypsum. The method includes situating an adhesive on the lower side. The method comprises covering the adhesive on the lower side with the dissolvable liner coating. The method includes printing indicia on the upper side while the dissolvable liner coating is covering the adhesive. The method comprises causing the dissolvable liner coating to come into contact with water to cause the dissolvable liner coating to dispel to thereby expose the adhesive. The face stock lower side is secured to the substrate via the exposed adhesive.

Label with dissolvable liner and methods of making and using same

Methods of printing indicia on PVC sheets with laser printers. The method includes manufacturing a heat resistant coating that includes each of a water based ink, a work and turn coating, and Calcium Sulfate. The heat resistant coating is applied to the PVC sheet and is allowed to dry thereon. Indicia is printed on the PVC sheet with the laser printer. During a printing process, a temperature of a fuser assembly of the laser printer exceeds 290 degree Fahrenheit.

Process for forming heat-resistant laser printable coating on PVC sheet

A method for making a dual temperature label having a face stock and a liner comprises using a first adhesive pattern applicator to apply a first adhesive to the line. The method includes transferring the first adhesive from the liner to the face stock via a first chill roller. A second adhesive pattern applicator is used to apply a second adhesive to the liner after the first adhesive has been transferred therefrom to the face stock. The face stock is brought in registry with the liner via a second chill roller to make the dual temperature label such that each of the first adhesive and the second adhesive is sandwiched between the face stock and the liner. The first adhesive is a hot temperature adhesive and the second adhesive is a cold temperature adhesive, or vice versa.

Labels for use in hot and cold extremes and methods of making same

A combination wristband and label form has a front ply and a back ply. The front ply has a top portion having a plurality of labels die cut therein and a bottom portion with a generally rectangular wristband configured to receive indicia, and an outer portion surrounding the wristband. The wristband is separable from the form and is formed of a single ply of water-resistant material, and has a first lateral end and a second lateral end. The back ply is at least partially coated in a control bond adhesive and further includes at least one area of silicone. The control bond adhesive includes between about 1 kg and 2 kg of a flexible adhesive; between about 1 kg and 2 kg of water; between about 12 g and 16 g gypsum, and between about 13 g and 23 g fumed silica.

Combination wristband and label form

A magnetic business communication is produced in a unique manner in which a pigmented coating is applied over one face of the magnetic substrate so as to change the appearance of the magnetic material. An image is applied either directly over the pigmented coating or alternatively, the image may be reverse printed on a transparent film such that when the film is applied over the pigmented coating, the image will be visible through the face of the film.
