An inductively-heated applicator system including a heating module and applicator or applicator pen. The heating module includes a dock for seating the applicator. The heating module includes circuitry to selectively generate an electromagnetic field to wirelessly provide energy to the applicator when it is positioned in the dock. The heating module may also include temperature control circuitry to at least one of monitor and control the temperature of the applicator. The applicator pen includes a heating element that may be heated through energy provided by the electromagnetic field. The heating element may be directly inductively heated by the electromagnetic field. The heating element may be a roller element that heats and applies the product. Alternatively, the applicator may include a secondary in which electrical power is induced when the electromagnetic field is present. In this alternative, the power may be applied to the heating element to produce resistive heat.

Inductively-heated applicator system

A heating and dispenser system including base unit and an applicator assembly. The applicator assembly may include an applicator tip, a dispensing module, and an applicator housing. The applicator assembly may be integral or separable, and may also house a heating module. Alternatively, the heating module may be separate from the applicator assembly. The system also includes a control system for heating and dispensing various products. The applicator assembly may be replaceable, interchangeable, or single-type for applying product to a surface. The applicator may also be constructed of materials that impact heat transfer or storage.

Disclosed herein is a composition comprising a liposome, a cardiolipin, and at least one antioxidant, wherein the composition is useful for improving, maintaining, or restoring a mitochondrial membrane and/or mitochondrial function. In one example, the liposome is primarily composed of phosphatidylcholine, the cardiolipin is tetraoleoyl-cardiolipin, and the at least one antioxidant is methylgentisate, l-carnosine, or both. The composition may be topically administered, orally administered, or parenterally administered, for example administered by injection. If topically administered, the composition may be administered for example, as a cream, lotion, gel, paste, spray, tonic, or other suitable form and may contain various additives, for example, one or more of an emollient, a humectant, a penetration enhancer, a vitamin, a fragrance, a pigment, and a moisturizer.

Skin whitening compositions containing asparagus extract

A method for producing a colored cosmetic composition having inorganic pigments resistant to agglomeration in an oil-in-water emulsion. The method includes the following: preparing an oil dispersion by adding inorganic pigments directly to an oil; preparing an aqueous base that includes water; combining the oil dispersion and aqueous base; and partitioning the inorganic pigments between the oil and the aqueous phase under controlled conditions, for example, hydrophile-lipophile balance, agitation time and speed, and cooling rate. Makeup compositions having enhanced transfer resistance including at least one hydrophilic film former. The makeup can be a water-in-oil emulsion having the hydrophilic film former in the internal water phase and at least one pigment in the external oil phase. The makeup composition can also be a suspension of one or more cationically-coated pigments in water in which the hydrophilic film former is dissolved. The hydrophilic film former may also be an anionic gelling agent, whereby the cationically-coated pigment and the anionic gelling agent form a water-dispersable complex that upon application to the skin forms an insoluble pigmented salt having enhanced transfer resistance.

Makeup compositions and methods of making same

A skin-whitening composition that includes bearberry extract and a reducing agent. The composition can be topically applied to the human skin and can include one or more whitening agents in combination with bearberry extract and the reducing agent to achieve an enhanced whitening effect. A method of whitening human skin includes topically applying to the skin a composition containing bearberry extract and a reducing agent in an amount and for a period of time sufficient to visibly whiten the skin. The method includes incorporating bearberry extract and the reducing agent with known whitening agents and applying to the skin in an amount and for a period of time sufficient to visibly whiten the skin.
