An apparatus and method are shown for installing a metal transition end on an open end of a length of plastic pipe having an outer diameter and an inner diameter by placing a stiffener sleeve within the inner diameter of the plastic pipe at a point which is circumscribed by the metal transition end. An actuating sleeve, carried on the draw rod, allows the stiffener sleeve to be installed in a desired location within the open plastic pipe end by using the draw rod to first position the stiffener sleeve in the desired location. The metal transition end is provided with an internal relief groove which accepts any excess plastic material forced past the stiffener sleeve during the installation process.

Transition end for a plastic pipe and method of installation

An apparatus and method are shown for installing a metal transition end on an open end of a length of plastic pipe having an outer diameter and an inner diameter by placing a stiffener sleeve within the inner diameter of the plastic pipe at a point which is circumscribed by the metal transition end. An installer apparatus is positioned over the open end of the length of plastic pipe and the metal transition end from the direction of the open plastic pipe end. The apparatus has a draw rod which extends along a horizontal axis generally aligned with the open pipe end. A metal stiffener sleeve is temporarily mounted on a segmented grip located on one end of the draw rod. An actuating sleeve, carried on the draw rod, allows the stiffener sleeve to be installed in a desired location within the open plastic pipe end by using the draw rod to first position the stiffener sleeve in the desired location.

Apparatus and method for installing a transition end on a plastic pipe

A well cover arrangement is shown for covering the exposed opening of a well where the well has a submersible pump supported on a collared well string which is suspended downwardly in the well. The cover arrangement includes both a U-plate with a U-shaped opening therein and a door element which fits within the U-plate opening. Once the door element is properly positioned on the U-plate, cooperating locking elements maintain its proper position. The ultimate weight of the well tubing string further secures the door element as the collar in the well string contacts a portion of the door element, making removal of the door element only possible by first lifting the well string.

Well cover plate arrangement and method of use

A motor driven wire roller for attachment to a three point hitch of a farm tractor. The apparatus includes an elongated shaft, having a motor means attached to rotate one end of the shaft, and a wire drum having the central axis thereof attached to a medial part of the shaft so that rotation of the shaft by the motor imparts rotational motion into the wire drum. A wire guide having drag plates associated therewith is included in the apparatus. The entire apparatus is easily assembled to the tractor hitch arm of a three point hitch.
