Disclosed herein are methods for controlling light fixtures comprising unique color light sources with independently controllable luminous flux, comprising controlling a luminous flux of each of the light sources, wherein a spectral distribution of light emitted from the light sources upon being controlled according to settings within a plurality of setting is different between settings, and a color of light emitted from the light sources is similar or identical between settings. The methods may improve color rendering where a certain color of emitted light is required, e.g., where a certain prop or costume is better illuminated with one setting compared to another setting, drawing attention to certain objects in a scene, e.g., by choosing a setting which makes a certain object stand out, and/or providing an intriguing optical effect, e.g., by shifting between settings, which makes certain objects appear to change color while others appear to keep same color.

Disclosed herein are methods for controlling a light fixture with a subtractive color mixing system for emitting light having a target color. The methods may comprise receiving target information indicative of, such as defining, the target color. The methods may further comprise calculating a target control setpoint for each of a the plurality of subtractive color filters based on: the target information; and calibration data, which for a plurality of sets of calibration control setpoints is indicative of an emitted color. The methods may further comprise controlling each of the subtractive color filters according to each calculated target control setpoint for each of the subtractive color filters.

A filter assembly with a color filter pair for a light fixture comprising two color filters is provided, where the color filters are linear moveable relatively to each other in parallel planes by at least one actuator. Each of the colors filters comprise a color filtering region formed as a comb-like structure comprising plurality of elongated teeth where the elongated teeth of the color filters are angled in relation to the direction of movement of the color filters. Further, the angle between the elongated teeth of the same color filter is less than 10 degrees and the elongated teeth of the two color filters are non-parallel in relation to each other. A light fixture comprising a plurality of such color filter pairs is also described.

The present invention relates to a light collector for an illumination device collecting light from a plurality of light sources and combing the collected light into a common light beam, where the common light beam is coupled through an optical gate. The light sources are distributed offset and around an optical axis and the light beam collector comprises a first reflector surrounding the optical axis and a second reflector surrounding the optical axis, where the first reflector reflects the sources light beams towards the second reflector and where the second reflector reflects the source light beams in a direction along the optical axis. The light beam collectors is divided into a number of reflector pairs, where each reflector pair comprises a first surface part of the first reflector and a second surface part of the second reflector, where the second surface part receives light from the corresponding first surface part of the reflector pair.

An illumination device includes a light source, and a light collector having a central lens part and a peripheral lens part surrounding at least a part of the central lens part. The central lens part is aligned along an optical axis of the light source and includes a central entrance surface, a central exit surface, and an extension part positioned between the central entry surface and the central exit surface. The light collector also has a peripheral lens part surrounding at least a part of the central lens part, the peripheral lens including a peripheral entrance surface, a peripheral reflection surface and a peripheral exit surface. The extension part protrudes from the peripheral exit surface and elevates the central exit surface a distance above the peripheral exit surface.

The present invention relates to a light collector for collecting light emitted by a light source and converting the collected light into a light beam. The light collector comprises a central lens part aligned along an optical axis of the light source where the central lens comprises a central entrance surface and a central exit surface. The light collector also has a peripheral lens part surrounding at least of part of the central lens. The peripheral lens comprises a that said central lens and said peripheral lens is mutual adapted to convert said light emitted by said light source into a common light beam having a substantial circular and rotationally symmetric cross sectional light distribution, where said common light beam comprises said first light beam part and said second light beam part.
