A refrigerated merchandiser includes a display casehaving an open front and defining a product display spacewherein productis hung for display and customer access on a peg bar support system. Refrigerated air passes into the product display spacethrough a back panelperforated with air inlet holes. A baffle platelies superadjacent the peg bar support systemand is positioned relative thereto so as to provide an airflow gapbetween its rearward edgeand the back paneland an airflow gapbetween its forward edgeand the tag mouldingof the peg bar support system. Refrigerated air passes through the rearward and forward airflow gaps to cool the product displayed on the peg bar support system. Additionally, the baffle plate may be perforated with a plurality of holes to provide additional airflow passagesthrough which further refrigerated air may pass to cool the product displayed on the peg bar support system.
