Described herein are accelerator devices for providing a couplant while moving an ultrasound probe over a surface. The devices may include a reservoir configured to hold ultrasound couplant. The reservoir may attach to a probe so as to dispense the couplant at one or more locations along a perimeter of the probe while moving the ultrasound probe over the surface. The devices may additionally, or alternatively, include a membrane configured to hold ultrasound couplant. The membrane may charge a couplant layer of an ultrashield prior to or while moving the ultrasound probe over a surface during an ultrasound procedure.

Wetting for use in prolonged imaging procedures

Devices and method are provided for ultrasound transmission without the need for external couplants, such as gels, which are typically used in conventional ultrasound procedures. In particular, ultrashields are provided for use with ultrasound probes, wherein the ultrashields have specialized layers to provide an uninterrupted pathway of acoustic conductance from the probe to the surface of the body throughout the procedure while introducing minimal to no attenuation of ultrasound wave transmission. In addition, combinations of ultrashields and probe covers are provided to provide additional features such as a microbial barrier.

A net apparatus for catching aquatic animals includes in a preferred embodiment a substantially transparent monofilament netting attached to a substantially transparent, hollow, tubular rim, which is attached to a substantially transparent, hollow, tubular handle. One or more openings allows water to flow into the hollow interior of both the rim and the handle when immersed underwater. The handle includes two openings for receiving the two ends of the rim. An elliptical cross-section of both the rim and the openings in the handle afford assembly of the dip net apparatus by inserting the ends of the rim into the corresponding handle openings and friction locking the rim to the handle by twisting the rim relative to the handle.

Net apparatus

A dip net apparatus for catching fish includes in a preferred embodiment a transparent monofilament netting attached to a substantially-transparent, hollow, tubular rim, which is attached to a substantially-transparent, hollow, tubular handle. An opening within the handle allows water to flow into the hollow interior of both the rim and the handle when immersed underwater, and which renders the rim and handle visually undetectable to nearby fish. Dip net apparatus for catching fish

An apparatus for restraining a necktie to a shirt front. The apparatus includes a longitudinal strip of material on the wide underside portion of the necktie, stitched in place, and surrounded by a horizontal transverse loop containing a buttonhole for attachment to a shirt front button.

A wind-operated rotor, including at least one or more horizontal propellers, mounted along a vertical shaft of a generator secured upon a tower, so as to generate electrical power; a hollow cone secured in opposite directions at the outer ends of each propeller, and means to shift the propeller outwardly at their ends which catch the wind.

Articles, such as rectangular thin film circuits (11), are sorted by advancing a row of the articles along a chute (20). The leading article (11-A) in the row is stopped in a test position with a releasable stop member (40), after which the lead article is tested for a characteristic, such as by a photoelectric detector (41) that scans a circuit and detects the absence or presence of an ink mark (16) previously applied to a defective circuit. If the article is of a first type (good circuit), the stop 40 is released so that the lead article advances further to a receiver (30). If the article is of a second type (bad circuit), a mechanism (45) is operated to eject the article transversely from the chute (arrow C). Preferably, an article to be ejected is pivoted (arrow F) about a transverse axis (F) to disengage the trailing edge (48) of the lead article (11-A) from the leading edge (49) of a following article (11-B) prior to ejection from the chute.
