A method of preparing a wrinkle-resistant fabric made from natural fibers consisting of the steps of (a) impregnating the fabric with a solution of tris(hydroxymethyl)nitromethane or a mixture thereof with 2-nitro-1-butanol or 2-nitro-2-methylpropanol and catalyst therefor, and (b) heating to 150.degree.-170.degree. C.
