One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a substantially automated fire suppression system, based on a distributed control communications network. The distributed system can comprise a communication network and at least two control components that are communicatively coupled with the communication network. A first control component can perform a first fire suppression operation, transmit first fire suppression operation data to the communication network, and receive second fire suppression operation data from the communication network. A second control component can perform a second fire suppression operation, transmit second fire suppression operation data to the communication network, receive first fire suppression operation data from the communication network, and alter the second fire suppression operation based at least upon the received first fire suppression operation data.

Fire suppression system component integration

A pump control system includes a source of pressurized fluid an output valve adjustably controls the flow of pressurized fluid from the source. An output valve control is coupled to the output valve and monitors the actual state of the output valve. The control selectably adjusts the output valve in response to a first control signal. A controller is coupled to the output valve control, the controller receiving information from the output valve control corresponding to the actual state of the output valve and providing to the output valve control the first control signal, the first control signal being applied to the output valve to achieve and maintain a desired state.

Pump control system

A control system for a pneumatically operated mast has a first control, a second control, and a positioning member. A first serial link communicates the first control with the second control. A second serial link communicates the second control with the positioning member. A relay system communicates with the first and second control and the positioning member. The relay system accommodates a 12 voltage or 24 voltage source.

A wireless remote control system is provided for use with an extendable mast arrangement. The wireless remote control system includes a wireless remote control and a base. The wireless remote control has an operator interface for the input of mast control commands and/or devices on the mast and a transmitter for outputting electromagnetic waves that correspond to mast control and/or other device commands inputted by the operator. The base includes a receiver for receiving electromagnetic control commands from the wireless remote control, and a converter for converting the electromagnetic control commands into electric command signals suitable for the control system of the extendable mast arrangement. The base is in electrical communication with the control system of the extendable mast arrangement and is configured to communicate the electrical command signals to the control system.

An extendable mast arrangement, that is supported on a mobile vehicle, having a telescopically extending mast and a mast accessory supported at one end thereof. The mast arrangement having a control system for effecting the movements and functions of the mast and mast accessories, that includes a wireless remote control that utilizes coded command signals to communicate instructions to the control system of the mast arrangement. The control system, including the remote control, utilizes spread spectrum modulation to encode and decode the electromagnetically transmitted control commands. Particularly, the control system uses frequency hopping modulation, a form of spread spectrum modulation, to encode and decode the command signals.
