Embodiments provide a method for fabricating a three-dimensional (3D) object from a digital representation of the 3D object stored in a computer readable media, the method comprising relatively driving a nozzle with respect to a build platform, wherein the 3D object is being fabricated on the build platform and while relatively driving the nozzle with respect to the build platform, depositing, via the nozzle, printing material to fabricate a first sub-wall of the 3D object in a layer. The method further comprises while further relatively driving the nozzle with respect to the build platform, depositing, via the nozzle, printing material to fabricate a second sub-wall of the 3D object in the layer and adjacent to the first sub-wall. The second sub-wall is fabricated such that (i) the second sub-wall periodically contacts the first sub-wall and (ii) a void is periodically present between the second sub-wall and the first sub-wall.

An image forming apparatus, which may be a printer, includes an image acquisition subsystem and a processing subsystem. The image acquisition subsystem includes an imager and a source. The imager is configured to scan an image while the image acquisition subsystem moves with respect to the image forming apparatus and configured to provide electrical signals including information related to the scanned image. The source is configured to emanate electromagnetic radiation based on the electrical signals. The processing subsystem includes a receiving component configured to receive the electromagnetic radiation emanated from the source of the image acquisition subsystem. The image forming apparatus also includes a structure supporting both the image acquisition subsystem and the processing subsystem.

Methods and systems for transferring information between a movable system and another system

The present disclosure describes apparatuses and techniques for programmatic sensing of capacitive sensors. In some aspects, a first set of instructions are executed that drive an output to a predetermined state for a duration of time effective to charge a capacitive sense element, a second set of instructions are executed that monitor a voltage level of the capacitive sense element, the second set of instructions executed for a number of iterations until the voltage level of the capacitive sense element crosses a predefined threshold, and user interaction with the capacitive sense element is determined based on the number of iterations that the second set of instructions execute.

Programmatic sensing of capacitive sensors

This disclosure describes techniques and apparatuses for low-memory-usage arbitrary waveform representation or generation. These techniques and/or apparatuses enable representation and/or generation of arbitrary waveforms using less memory than many current techniques, thereby reducing costs or memory size. Further, in some embodiments the techniques and apparatuses generate arbitrary waveforms without using processor resources.

Electromagnetic radiation is modulated according to the information. The other subsystem includes a receiving component that receives the modulated electromagnetic radiation and converts the received electromagnetic radiation into other electrical signals.

Pulse width modulation systems and methods are described. In one aspect, a pulse width modulation system includes a register and a code word generator. The code word generator has an input for receiving a specified output frequency and a specified duty cycle and is operable to generate code words of different lengths. The code word generator is operable to generate a base code word having a length set to achieve the specified output frequency and having a thermometer code value set in accordance with the specified duty cycle. The code word generator is further operable to load the register with a code word pattern including a sequence of one or more copies of the base code word.
