The present invention is directed to a multiple camera system which captures a photo image on film and captures and stores an electronic image on a magnetic recording media. The system has two operating states. In the 'compose' or 'view' state the electronic image channel is operated at a first gain setting, color temperature and F-stop to provide a real time moving image on a monitor. In the capture state the electronic gain, color temperature, and F-stop of the electronic camera are altered to collect or capture an electronic image during strobe illumination. The system utilizes a pair of dedicated zoom lenses, which are mechanically corrected for parallax error and the focal length of the two lenses are matched and linked together so that their focal lengths may be altered simultaneously by the operator.

Synchronized zoom electronic camera system

A camera system for the simultaneous and substantially exact capturing of images of a subject on separate image reproduction mediums wherein an optical member is interposed between a lens group and a pair of separate, discrete image receiving mediums. One of the mediums is a photographic film and the other is a viewing screen for personal viewing or, alternatively, an electronic system for electronic signal generation, electronic viewing and electronic capture of the image. The optical member allows light rays emanating from the object to pass therethrough to impinge upon one of the mediums while simultaneously reflecting light rays to the second medium. This system allows for the simultaneous transfer and reproduction of the object image onto more than one medium without degradation of the image or depth of field. The system accomplishes the multiple image transfer through a stationary device, thereby eliminating the necessity of moving parts. The system also eliminates problems resulting from refractions of light normally accompanying light ray direction control devices.

Multiple image transfer camera system

A reflex camera having a mirror holding mechanism mounted to a slideable track which moves the mirror linearly in and out of the optical path through the lens. The mechanism is positively driven to a picture taking position by a rotary solenoid. A shutter member cooperates with the slide mechanism. The shutter is cocked and released by the slide mechanism. Return of the slide mechanism to a viewing position pulls the shutter back out of the optical path.

Linear reflex shutter for slr cameras

A camera having shutter means for momentarily exposing film in a film plane to a light image from the camera lens. The shutter includes an arcuate shutter plate having an aperture therethrough aligned with the optical path of light through the lens, a mirror support bearing a mirror and mounted to the housing and pivotable between cocked and uncocked positions, the mirror support in its cocked position positioning the mirror between the aperture in the film plane to mask the film plane from the lens, and an arcuate masking plate mounted in the housing and swingable on the opposite side of the aperture plate from the mirror support between a cocked position out of alignment with the optical path and an uncocked position in the optical path and masking the aperture from the lens. The camera includes means urging the mirror support, and means urging the exterior masking plate, respectively, toward their uncocked positions.

Reflex shutter

A plural photographic camera with a plurality of objective lens for making a number of identical photographs utilizing a single shutter mechanism with different disc apertures to align with the camera obscura in exposing portions of the film. By rotating the disc it will direct the aperture or apertures therein past the plural lens to expose the film in a desired sequence and reset of the shutter mechanism without exposure is effected by utilizing covering blades or masks which rotate into position in the reset direction to close the aperture or apertures in the disc. The shutter mechanism is readily interchangeable for varying shutter configurations.
