A single strand banded V-belt is described featuring at least one ply of a band fabric which traverses the bottom surface and each of the side surfaces of the belt body so as to cover the load-carrying section at the position that it intercepts the side surfaces of the belt body. The ply of band fabric does not overlap with itself. The total sum of the number of plies of band fabric positioned on both side surfaces of the belt body exceed the total sum of the number of plies of band fabric positioned on the top plus bottom surfaces of the belt body.

Banded power transmission V-belt

A power tansmission belt having a body portion comprising at least one strip of belt body material helically wound at an incline with respect to the surfaces of the finished belt. The belt material is wound against itself to form generally inclined and successive plies of body material. Tensile material or load carrying cord is helically wound between the successive plies of the body material. The method and apparatus for simultaneously winding the belt body material and the load carrying cord is disclosed.

Power transmission belt, method and apparatus for making the same

A single or multiple strand molded notch V-belt and a method for its production is described. The method is characterized by use of an open-ended mold having rigid transverse notches and longitudinal ribs forming a plurality of mold cavities. The belt has undulating mold-formed notches which In one embodiment carry a fabric facing of a particular design to retard initiation and propagation of undercord cracks during operation of the belt around described sheaves.

V-Belt

A single or multiple strand molded notch V-belt and a method for its production is described.
