An infant swing comprising a seat, at least one upwardly extending arm secured to the seat, and a pivot housing having an axle for rotating the at least one upwardly extending arm. A support frame supports the pivot housing and enables the seat to rotate freely about the pivot housing. A drive assembly housed within the pivot housing includes the axle which is rotatably mounted in the pivot housing and coupled to the upwardly extending arm, an abutting member fixedly secured to the axle, at least one drive member pivotally mounted on the axle, and a motor driving a circular gear. A rod eccentrically mounted on the gear drives a first portion of the drive member, which in turn causes a second portion of the drive member to drive the abutting member to rotate the axle and upwardly extending arm.

Infant swing

A gate having a latching mechanism which requires two distinctly different unlatching movements which occur in distinctly different directions, but where both of these unlatching movements can be performed with the use of only one hand. In addition, timer/alarm capabilities are provided to emit an alert signal in situations where the gate has been opened and has not been reclosed within a given time interval after the gate was opened. The gate has a self-closing spring assembly arranged within a pivot assembly. All of the above capabilities are obtained through a greatly simplified design which is extremely rugged and provides highly reliable service.

Safety gate

A bed assembly convertible from a crib to a toddler bed to a full size headboard or vice versa. Components of the bed assembly perform multiple, different functions in each of the bed arrangements. For example, the component which functions as a sidewall in the crib structure is utilized as part of the toddler bed and full size headboard, together with tubular elements forming part of the crib mattress support which serve as components of the headboard for the full size bed.

An infant swing comprises a seat with a padded seating area for an infant and a seat frame that supports said padded seating area, the seat frame comprising at least two upwardly extending arms. The swing also comprises two pivot housings rotatably connected to the at least two upwardly extending arms; a support frame that extends upwardly from a substantially planar surface, the support frame engaging the pivot housings and allowing the seat to rotate freely about the pivot housings; and at least two feet in contact with the substantially planar surface, engaging the frame, and extending outside an outer perimeter of the frame.

An adjustable bed rail capable of gripping a mattress either alone or together with a bedspring to hold the protective side rail in place. A locking assembly is adjustable to adjust for the height of the mattress either alone or together with the bedspring. Friction pads and/or friction surfaces may be mounted along the bed rail to further enhance the locking of the side rail to the mattress. The bed rail may be provided with a rail that drops down to facilitate climbing on to or off of the bed and can be locked into the upright position.

Adjustable bed rail

A combination bassinet, bedside sleeper and changing table apparatus including a supporting frame having a rocking feature convertible through adjustable locking casters for easy rolling. A fabric member comprised of sidewalls and a skirt is draped over the frame. The apparatus may be placed against one side of an adult bed for easy access by a parent. The bedside sleeper is secured to the parents' bed with safety straps. One sidewall may be lowered to facilitate access to an infant by removal of a removably mounted sidewall/skirt supporting rod. The apparatus is adjustable in height to align the bedside sleeper with the parents' bed and when used as a changing table to accommodate for differences in the height of the parent. The bassinet is provided with a removable, adjustable hood for shielding light from the baby's eyes. The apparatus comprises a skeletal structure covered with a soft, aesthetically pleasuring and yet sturdy cloth which is easily removable and washable and includes two convenient storage areas.

Combination bassinet, changing table and bedside sleeper

A foldable crib having substantially similar head and foot ends and folding sides either fixedly or pivotally mounted to the head and foot ends, the pivotally mounted ends closer to the head and foot ends being spaced at differing lengths so as to provide a folded structure which is compact and provides a small 'footprint' as well as providing a compartment for storing the crib mattress in an upright manner which further contributes to the small 'footprint'.

Foldable crib and method for using same

A canopy for covering the top of a playyard, the canopy comprising a canopy cover, a canopy support adapted to be coupled to a playyard and configured to support the canopy cover, the canopy support includes a rod connector and four support rods, each support rod includes an inner end pivotably coupled to the rod connector and an outer end adapted to be coupled to one of four corner pieces included in the playyard to retain the canopy support on the playyard, and the rod connector includes a connector ring arranged to pass through apertures formed in the inner ends of each support rod to establish a pivot axis of each support rod about the connector ring and about which each support rod is free to pivot relative to the connector ring.

Playyard canopy

A playyard top rail comprising a left rail and a right rail pivotably coupled to the left rail to enable pivotable movement of the right rail relative to the left rail about a pivot axis, and wherein the right rail is formed to include a locking aperture, and also including a lock coupled to the left rail, and wherein the lock includes a lock button arranged along the left rail displaced a distance from the pivot axis to move between a locked position extended into the locking aperture formed in the right rail to block pivotable movement of the right rail relative to the left rail and an unlocked position withdrawn from the locking aperture formed in the right rail to allow pivotable movement of the right rail relative to the left rail.

Playyard

A playyard includes a retainer carried on a canopy frame support rod. The retainer is configured to be coupled to a retainer mount carried on a playyard frame so that a canopy cover attached to the canopy frame support rod is retained in place on the playground.

A collapsible child carrier assembly having a support frame which comprises a pair of hinge members, each of which includes a bore extending therein. The support frame further includes front and back support structures, each of which are attached to the hinge members. Also included in the support frame is a top support bar having opposed ends and a pair of elongate slots extending longitudinally therein adjacent respective ones of the opposed ends thereof. The top support bar is pivotally connected to the hinge members via a pair of pivot pins which extend through and are movable within respective ones of the slots. The top support bar is movable between a locked position whereat the opposed ends thereof are inserted into respective ones of the bores so as to maintain the top support bar in fixed relation to the front support structure, and an unlocked position whereat the opposed ends thereof are removed from within the bores so as to allow the top support bar to be pivotally movable relative to the front support structure about the pivot pins. The movement of the top support bar between the locked and unlocked positions is facilitated by the movement of the pivot pins within respective ones of the slots.
