Rigid isocyanurate urethane polymers useful for insulation purposes and characterized by superior thermal stability are prepared by reacting an excess of polymeric isocyanate with butenediol in the presence of blowing agent and catalyst.

Rigid isocyanurate polyurethane foams and method for preparing same

Decorative sheet-type covering material and method for making same. The material has a substrate comprising a porous mat saturated and completely coated on both sides with foamed, flexible urethane. The substrate is made by coating one side of a porous mat with reactive urethane mixture which is then allowed to foam.

Rigid isocyanurate urethane polymers useful for insulation purposes and characterized by unexpected and significantly superior thermal stability are achieved by incorporation therein of 2,3-dibromo-2-butene-1,4-diol, antimony oxide and hydrated alumina.
