Techniques for detecting spam accounts in a system are described. The system may analyze speech characteristics of communication content (e.g., telephone call content, VoIP content, audio messaging, etc.) to determine whether multiple devices or user profiles are associated with overlapping communications. The system may also analyze text transcriptions of communication content to determine whether multiple devices or user profiles are associated with overlapping communications. If so, the system may mitigate, such as throttling service, disabling accounts, and the like.

Message aggregation and comparing

Techniques for detecting spam accounts in a system are described. When a system creates a user profile, the system may ingest a blocked communications list. The system may determine how many times each blocked communications number represented in the ingested blocked communications list is included in blocked communications lists of various users of the system. If a blocked communications number represented in the ingested blocked communications list is included in at least a threshold number of other blocked communications lists, the system may mark the communications number as spam at a system level and engage in appropriate mitigation techniques (e.g., throttle the phone numbers activity, disable the phone number's ability to communicate with system devices, etc.).

The present disclosure includes a system and method for apportioning power consumption. In an example of apportioning power consumption according to the present disclosure, a transaction mix for a service is determined (), component resource usage for each of a number of components that are used while completing the service is determined (), and component power consumption for each of the number of components is determined by use of the component resource usage ().

A disclosed example method includes identifying via a processor a first virtual machine to be migrated from a first host to a second host to improve a performance of the first virtual machine, determining that a frequency threshold associated with the first virtual machine will not be exceeded if the first virtual machine is migrated, determining a reliability rating for the first virtual machine, and migrating the first virtual machine to the second host based on the frequency threshold and the reliability rating.

A user's demands on execution of a number of tasks, each task including a demand trace, can be defined as Service Level Agreement (SLA) information, including one or more Class of Service (CoS) levels defined by a Base Resource Entitlement (BRE) criteria and a Reserved Resource Entitlement (RRE) criteria (). A highest CoS level of the one or more CoS levels can be selected () and the tasks within the Cos level can be load-balanced across a pool of servers (). At least a portion of the RRE criteria can be removed from the demand trace of the selected CoS level (). The selecting, load-balancing, and removing steps can be repeated until there are no more CoS levels ().

The present disclosure includes a system and method for a service recommendation service. A method for a service recommendation service includes determining one or more queries that do not expose additional data items stored in a data source of a participant in a collaborative information system than are exposed by queries already implemented on the participant's data source. Query services that are not authorized to involve the data source, but which use the determined one or more queries are identified. The identified query services are recommended to the participant.

It automatically derives a grounded model () of the business process from an unbound model () of the business process, based on an infrastructure design template (). The unbound model specifies the application components to be used, and the grounded model adds a complete design of the computing infrastructure to be used. The use of an infrastructure design template can reduce the large number of options to be evaluated to help reduce the complexity of generating or changing the grounded model. The infrastructure design template formally relates the business process, application components and infrastructure design so that designs, or changes which are inconsistent or inefficient can be avoided. Thus more automation of the designing and changing the design is feasible.
