A measuring device with a measuring tube is disclosed. The measuring device includes a sensor unit for capturing a parameter of a medium, a control and evaluation unit, and a deflectable measuring sensor with a cavity and a base unit. The sensor unit is at least partially integrated in the wall of the measuring tube. The measuring sensor is connected to the base unit via a spring element. The base unit is arranged outside of the measuring tube. A side of the measuring sensor is in contact with the medium during operation. The cavity is arranged on the side of the measuring sensor facing the medium. The measuring sensor is integrated into the measuring tube wall in such a way that it can be deflected at least in the plane of the measuring tube wall. The sensor unit has a means for capturing the deflection of the measuring sensor.

Measuring device, sensor unit and method for determining at least one parameter of a medium

An ultrasonic flowmeter includes a measuring tube, a first transducer pair including first and second ultrasonic transducers, and a second transducer pair including third and fourth ultrasonic transducers. Each ultrasonic transducer is an ultrasonic transmitter and/or an ultrasonic receiver. The first transducer pair is on the measuring tube offset such that the respective transmitter transmits an ultrasonic signal in or against the direction of flow, and the receiver receives the ultrasonic signal. A course of the ultrasonic signal between the first and second ultrasonic transducers defines a first signal path. The second transducer pair is on the measuring tube offset such that the respective transmitter transmits an ultrasonic signal in or against the direction of flow. The receiver receives the ultrasonic signal transmitted by the transmitter. A course of the ultrasonic signal between the third and fourth ultrasonic transducers defines a second signal path.

Ultrasonic flowmeter, use of an ultrasonic flowmeter in a shut-off device and shut-off device

An ultrasonic flowmeter includes a measuring tube, a first transducer pair including first and second ultrasonic transducers, and a second transducer pair including third and fourth ultrasonic transducers. Each ultrasonic transducer is an ultrasonic transmitter and/or an ultrasonic receiver. The first transducer pair is on the measuring tube offset such that the respective transmitter transmits an ultrasonic signal in or against the direction of flow, and the receiver receives the ultrasonic signal after a reflection. A course of the ultrasonic signal between the first and second ultrasonic transducers defines a first signal path. The second transducer pair is on the measuring tube offset such that the respective transmitter transmits an ultrasonic signal in or against the direction of flow, and the receiver receives the ultrasonic signal after a reflection. A course of the ultrasonic signal defines a second signal path between the third ultrasonic transducer and the fourth ultrasonic transducer.

An ultrasonic flowmeter includes a measuring tube and first and second ultrasonic transducers. The first ultrasonic transducer is an ultrasonic transmitter and/or an ultrasonic receiver, and the second ultrasonic transducer is an ultrasonic transmitter and/or an ultrasonic receiver. The ultrasonic transducers are offset on the measuring tube such that the respective transmitter transmits an ultrasonic signal in the direction of flow or against the direction of flow, and the receiver receives the ultrasonic signal after at least three reflections. A course of the ultrasonic signal defines a signal path with first and second signal path sections. The number of sub-sections of the first signal path section corresponds to the number of sub-sections of the second signal path section. The signal path in the first signal path section has a first direction of rotation, and the signal path in the second signal path section has an opposite, second direction of rotation.

Ultrasonic flowmeter

A shut-off device for a fluid includes a housing conducting the fluid, an inflow opening provided in the housing, an outflow opening provided in the housing, a flow channel formed in the housing between the inflow opening and the outflow opening, and a blocking device arranged in the flow channel. The blocking device has a blocking body receptacle and a blocking body movable in the blocking body receptacle. The flow cross-section for the fluid in the blocking device, and thus in the flow channel, can be changed by moving the blocking body in the blocking body receptacle. A reliable detection of the position of the blocking body is ensured in that an ultrasonic measuring device is arranged in or aligned on the housing such that the position of the blocking body can be determined by means of the ultrasonic measuring device.

Shut-off device for a fluid

An Ultrasonic flowmeter for measuring the flow of a medium through a measuring tube () with at least two ultrasonic transducers () and at least one control and evaluation unit (). The measuring tube () has an inner wall, the ultrasonic transducers () are transmitters () for transmitting an ultrasonic signal () and/or are receivers () for receiving the ultrasonic signal, and are arranged offset in the direction of flow such that the respective transmitter () transmits an ultrasonic signal () in the direction of flow or against the direction of flow during operation. The receiver () receives the ultrasonic signal () transmitted by the transmitter () after at least one reflection on the inner wall of the measuring tube (), the ultrasonic signal () having a first signal component () and at least a second signal component ().

Ultrasound flowmeter and method for measuring flow rate

An ultrasonic flowmeter is provided with at least one measuring tube having at least one recess. Disposed in the recess are at least a first ultrasonic transducer and a second ultrasonic transducer, wherein the first ultrasonic transducer is designed as an ultrasonic transmitter and/or as an ultrasonic receiver and the second ultrasonic transducer is designed as an ultrasonic transmitter and/or as an ultrasonic receiver. Further disposed in the recess is at least one reflection surface. The first and second ultrasonic transducers are arranged on the measuring tube such that the measuring path between the first and the second ultrasonic transducers comprises at least one reflection at the reflecting surface. The provision of the reflection surface in the recess provides an ultrasonic flowmeter with which the flow profile can be easily measured, especially in the edge region.

An ultrasonic transducer for an ultrasonic flow meter, with a transducer housing, with a transducer element for generating and/or for receiving ultrasonic signals and with an emitting element, the emitting element being exposed to ultrasonic signals at least indirectly from the transducer element and emitting the ultrasonic signals via one end face on one front side of the emitting element into the vicinity bordering the ultrasonic transducer and/or the emitting element picking up ultrasonic signals from the vicinity via one end face on one front side of the emitting element and transmitting them at least indirectly to the transducer element. A good directional action in spite of small dimensions is achieved by the emitting element being connected to the transducer housing via a connecting element and being free standing on its periphery on the front side such that it can oscillate freely on the periphery.

An ultrasonic transducer for mounting in an ultrasonic flowmeter for measuring the flow has an electromechanical transducer element for generating ultrasonic signals, a carrier and a housing, the electromechanical transducer element being arranged in the carrier, the housing being formed at least in part of an electroconductive material, the carrier having a carrier material with an acoustic impedance value that lies between the acoustic impedance value of the electromechanical transducer element and the acoustic impedance value of the flowing medium to be measured. To provide an ultrasonic transducer that transmits a high signal portion of the ultrasonic signal into the medium to be measured and simultaneously provides a high operational reliability while being easy to build, the carrier is electroconductive, the carrier and the housing are electroconductively connected to one another and the electromechanical transducer element and the carrier are electroconductively connected to one another.

An ultrasonic flowmeter for measuring the flow of a flowing medium () having a measuring tube () and an ultrasonic transducer (), wherein the measuring tube () has a transducer pocket () in which the ultrasonic transducer () is provided in contact with the flowing medium () in the transducer pocket (). The ultrasonic transducer () has a transducer housing () and a transducer element () and wherein the transducer housing () has an ultrasound window (). The ultrasonic flowmeter solves problems resulting from vortices generated by the transducer pocket via the provision of a cylindrical shielding on the transducer housing ().

An ultrasonic transducer as an important part of an ultrasonic flow meter is described, with a transducer housing and with a transducer element, the transducer housing having an ultrasound window and a housing tube, the transducer element being made for sending or receiving ultrasonic waves and being either near the ultrasound window of the transducer housing or away from the ultrasound window of the transducer housing, there being a relatively soft mechanical coupling system and the mechanical coupling system having preferably at least one weakly coupled mechanical resonator. The ultrasonic transducer is improved with respect to the prevention of the transmission of housing waves by there being a second soft mechanical coupling system.

An ultrasonic transducer and a transducer holder for preventing the transmission of housing waves has a decoupling ring between a housing flange of a transducer housing and a holder flange of the transducer holder. Preferably, there is a gasket between the housing flange of the transducer housing and the decoupling ring in addition to a gasket between the decoupling ring and the holder flange of the transducer holder.

An ultrasonic transducer has a transducer housing having an ultrasound window, a housing tube and a housing flange, a transducer holder for holding the transducer housing, a transducer element with an ultrasonic flow rate measuring transducer that is positioned at an end of the housing tube of the transducer, and an opposing flange clamping the housing flange of the transducer housing to a holder flange of the transducer holder together with retraining screws and lock nuts. A side of the housing flange of the transducer housing facing the opposing flange has an outer contour which enables bracing of the opposing flange against the housing flange without tilting or bending of the housing flange.

An ultrasonic flowmeter with a measuring tube through which flows a medium and which, viewed in cross section, has a split circumference forming two halves with two ultrasonic converter pairs, each with an associated ultrasound reflector. The converters of each pair are mounted on a common circumferential half in a mutually offset position as viewed in the longitudinal direction of the tube, while the reflector for each pair is positioned on the other, opposite circumferential half in the longitudinal direction of the measuring tube between the two converters, so that an ultrasound signal emitted by one converter of a pair travels along a V-shaped signal path via the reflector of the associated pair to the other converter of that pair. The first pair and the second reflector are positioned on one circumferential half of the tube while the second pair and the first reflector are positioned on the other, opposite circumferential half of the tube.

An ultrasonic flow-measuring method measures the flow rate of a medium traveling through a measuring conduit by means of two ultrasound transducers which in the flow direction of the medium are offset relative to each other and both of which alternate in emitting ultrasonic pulses while the respective other ultrasound transducer receives the emitted ultrasonic pulses and the flow rate is determined as a function of the run times of the ultrasonic pulses received by the respective other ultrasound transducer. At least one correction parameter is established on the basis of the calculated sound propagation of the ultrasonic pulses traveling from one ultrasound transducer to the other, the calculation of the sound propagation of those pulses is made by taking into account a predefined frequency spectrum of the oscillations of the ultrasound transducers and the flow rate is calculated by applying the correction parameter established.
