A chip chute for transporting wood chips includes: first, second, third, and fourth planar lateral walls defining an open area having a rectangular cross-section, with an inlet opening configured to receive the wood chips, wherein the first and second planar lateral walls oppose each other and extend in a height (H) direction and a first length (Li) direction, and wherein the third and fourth planar lateral walls oppose each other and extend in the height (H) direction and a second length (L) direction perpendicular to the first length (L) direction; a curved bottom wall that is located at a bottom of the planar lateral walls and curves from the first planar lateral wall to the second planar lateral wall; and a cylindrical outlet tube protruding laterally from one of the planar lateral walls and configured to discharge the wood chips.

System and chip chute for feeding comminuted cellulosic material

The invention relates to a chip chute () which comprises an elongated, open main body () having a rectangular transverse cross-section, and comprises further a transition portion (), which connects to the elongated, open main body () and comprises a circular outlet (). The invention relates further to a feeding system () for transporting comminuted lignocellulosic material from a vessel () to a pump () located below the vessel (), wherein such a chip chute () is arranged between the vessel () and the pum ().

The present invention relates to an outlet system for transporting comminuted lignocellulosic material from a vessel, said bottom portion () having an upper circumference () that is essentially circular and a lower circumference () comprising at least two essentially straight portions () opposite each other. The invention also relates to a vessel having such an outlet system.

The invention relates to an improved profile bar screen for draining treatment liquor from a suspension of comminuted cellulose material and treatment liquor in an essentially cylindrical digester vessel. According to the invention is a profile bar screen designed with horizontal support archeswith integrated support shouldersonly at the outer ends of the support arch which support shoulders rest against the inside of the vessel wall. The invention combines the techniques from self-supporting screens with support members of weaker screen designs, avoiding need to make any additional welds in the classified pressure vessel wall of the digester. Installation of new screens in compartments previously equipped with blind plates in checkered screen rows may be done quickly and at less costs during shorter down time of digester.

Profile bar screen for digester vessels

The improved profile bar screen is for draining treatment liquor from a suspension of comminuted cellulose material and treatment liquor in an essentially cylindrical digester vessel. The profile bar screen is designed with horizontal support arches that have expansion slots allowing the otherwise rigid structure of the support arches to flex and adapt to any unevenness of the vessel wall, thus allowing support shoulders to rest against the inside of the vessel wall.
