An apparatus and method for packaging and installing a ceiling fan. A bucket or a kit including a bucket can be used to store a ceiling fan. A lid can be used to cover the bucket. The lid can include opening portions that are removable to define an aperture in the lid. The ceiling fan can include a motor, a downrod, and a tri-lobe ball. The tri-lobe ball can be mounted to the motor via the downrod. The tri-lobe ball and the downrod can be inserted into the aperture in the lid to assist in assembling the ceiling fan.

Packaging apparatus and method for ceiling fan

A ceiling fan includes a fan motor housing; a motor positioned within the motor housing; a plurality of fan blades rotatable by the motor; a fan controller and a wired remote control. The fan controller includes a printed circuit board (PCB) having a wireless communication module and an electronic circuit coupled with the wireless communication module and is configured to control the motor to rotate the plurality of fan blades. The wired remote control device is coupled to the printed circuit board and is configured to send user selected signals to the electronic circuit on a first frequency. The electronic circuit is configured to be responsive to signals from the wired remote control device on the first frequency and to be responsive to signals from the wireless communication module on a second frequency.

Electronic ceiling fan control system and method of use

A light () includes a mounting bracket () including a top plate (), a pair of arms (), and an inner cap (). The inner cap has a central D-shaped mounting hole () and an offset pull chain passage hole (). A hollow D-shaped nipple () is positioned within the D-shaped mounting hole. The light also includes a light diffusor () and an outer cap having a central D-shaped mounting hole () journalled upon the D-shaped nipple and an offset pull chain passage hole (). The ceiling fan includes a motor having a pull chain which passes through the pull chain passage holes. Lastly, a hollow finial () is threaded onto the nipple to a position abutting the bottom of the outer cap so as to lock the position of the light diffusor and outer cap. The D-shape of the nipple and surrounding mounting holes prevent the nipple from rotating relative to the inner and outer caps.
