The present specification describes a system for automatically preparing medication cartridges for use in a pharmaceutical dispensing system. The system includes a spooler device that winds a strip of medicine pouches around a cylinder in a cartridge frame. When the cartridge has been loaded with the medication strip, the system validates that there is a match between the information on the cartridge cover and the mediation pouches.

An electronic enclosure includes a first electronic module, a second electronic module, a third electronic module and a handle. The first electronic module is physically connected to the second electronic module and the third electronic module is physically connected to the second electronic module. The second electronic module vertically disengages from the first electronic module and the third electronic module horizontally disengages from the second electronic module. The handle forces sequenced orthogonal disconnection of the electronic modules such that the third electronic module horizontally disengages from the second electronic module prior to the second electronic module vertically disengages from the first electronic module.

A computer processor retention device comprises a load frame, a load plate, and a pair of retractable cover members. The load frame may be secured to a circuit board around a processor mounting site. The load plate is pivotally coupled to the load frame and is pivotable between being open for receiving a processor at the processor mounting site and closed in engagement with a periphery of the received processor. The load plate has a window that is open to the processor mounting site when the load plate is closed. The retractable cover members span the window and are alternately movable along a track toward one another to cover the processor mounting site and away from one another to expose the processor mounting site.

A method uses scales onboard a lift apparatus to weigh an uninstalled component that is positioned on the lift apparatus for installation into a rack. Data is accessed that identifies the weight and rack location of components currently installed in the rack, and one or more available rack locations are identified where the component may be installed without violating one or more predetermined rack stability rules. The method then uses the lift apparatus to raise the component into a selected one of the one or more available rack locations. The components are preferably information technology components, such as servers, network switches and power distribution units.

An adjustable riser cage retains varying length adapters. For example, the adjustable riser cage may support a short adapter card, a &#xbe; length adapter card, or a long adapter card. The adjustable riser cage includes a riser portion and an extension portion. The riser portion includes one or more guidance features and a plurality of first retention members. The extension portion is slide ably supported against only the one or more guidance members, and includes a second retention member configured to engage with a particular first retention member depending upon a length of the adapter card to be supported. The adjustable riser cage may be installed into a larger electronic system having a plurality of electronic components. The adjustable riser cage allows for increased access to the electronic components because the extension portion is not supported by external or non-integral support features that may block access to the electronic components.

In one embodiment, a memory module connector includes sidewalls extending along a length of the connector body. A longitudinally oriented socket is provided between the sidewalls for receiving a card edge of a memory module. A top of the connector defines a socket opening. A bottom of the connector is for mounting to a system board. A plurality of air deflectors is provided adjacent to the connector body to manipulate airflow to improve cooling. The size, positioning, and spacing of the air deflectors may be selected to optimize cooling.

A method of forming an assembly for tool-less backplane retention and insertion thereof into a housing including a housing mating device through which an installation path for an assembly is defined with a space in which a first part is positioned is provided. The method includes coupling a hub and a backplane body having opposing faces on which a second part and a backplane mating device are respectively disposed. The coupling includes inserting a backplane mating device protruding from one of the opposing faces of the backplane body through a hub mating device defined in the hub. The method further includes forcing a first stage of a two-stage mating device, which includes first and second elastically coupled stages and which extends from the hub, to elastically hook onto the backplane body during a near-completion of the insertion.

An apparatus is provided and includes a housing, including a housing mating device, through which an installation path for an assembly is defined with a space in which a first part is positioned, a backplane body having opposing faces on which a second part and a backplane mating device are respectively disposed, and a hub, in which a hub mating device is defined, and from which a two-stage mating device extends, the two-stage mating device including first and second elastically coupled stages. The hub and the backplane body are coupled to form the assembly and the assembly is installed/removed in/from the space with the second stage of the two-stage mating device elastically hooked by the housing mating device or released from the housing mating device and the first and second stages of the two-stage mating device biasing the hub and the backplane body to remain coupled.

A racking system for storing equipment in a rack includes a rail that is configured to be attached to the rack and a housing that receives the equipment. One of the housing and rail includes a catch, and the other of the housing and the rail includes a slot for engaging the catch. The catch is movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the catch engages the slot and extends away from a surface of either the housing and the rail, and in the second position, the catch is withdrawn from engaging the slot. The catch rotates upon moving between the first position and the second position, and the catch is biased towards the first position.

A cable management system includes an adjustable length arm adapted to receive at least one cable in a computer system, and the adjustable length arm is configured to be connected to a first hinge and a second hinge that respectively define first and second opposite ends of the adjustable length arm. The first hinge is connected to a portion of the computing system, and the at least one cable and second hinge are connected to a movable device that moves relative to the portion of the computing system.

A unique push-pull actuator and pivoting latching arm device for removably coupling and latching a USB male plug connector and USB female socket connector which is mounted in a first opening of a panel structure. The male plug connector has a first latching recess and the female socket connector has a second latching recess. The push-pull actuator is mounted and movable within a second opening in the panel structure. A portion of the push-pull actuator has a first incline cam element. A pivoting latch arm cooperatively associated with the female socket connector having a second incline cam element and a downward projection latch thereon. The movement of the push-pull actuator through the second opening in one direction causes the cam elements to engage one another to pivot the latch projection into the latch recesses to securely latch the male connector and the female connector together.

A device for locking a USB device to a USB header includes a member secured to a USB header and selectively movable between a locked position that blocks outward movement of a spring finger of the USB header and an unlocked position that permits outward movement of the spring finger. The selectively moveable member may include a collar secured around the USB header. In one embodiment, the collar slides in an axial direction relative to the axis of the USB header. In another embodiment, the collar slides in a transverse direction relative to the axis of the USB header. In yet another embodiment, the selectively moveable member is a lever, button or dial coupled to a collar positioned around the USB header. For example, the member may be a lever pivotally coupled to the collar.

Embodiments of the invention include an apparatus and a method for locking a cam lever, which positions a second card as inserted into a connector on a first card, and activating the second card with a coupling member. In one embodiment, the second card is inserted between a pair of guides secured to the first card into a connector on the first card. A hinged cam lever on either a guide or the second card positions the second card. A coupling member on the cam lever can be moved to lock the cam lever in place and engage a switch on the second card to activate the second card. When removal of the second card is desired, the coupling member on the cam lever can be moved to unlock the cam lever and disengage the switch on the second card to deactivate the second card.

An apparatus for latching, aligning, and connecting a first connector located in a chassis with a second connector on a cable. The invention comprises a plurality of trough segments coupled in series. The trough segments include a distal trough segment having a retainer for securing and axially orienting a cable connector, a proximal trough segment having a latch element selectively secureable to a guide passage, and one or more intermediate trough segments coupled between the distal trough segment and the proximal trough segment. Each individual trough segment is pivotally coupled to any adjacent trough segment to allow bending of the cable trough. The cable trough formed by the collective trough segments may be directed into the guide passage for coupling of the cable connector to an internal chassis connector and latching of the cable trough in position within the guide passage.
