A sensing module for a fluid valve utilizes a sensor body having a sensing chamber. An extension member is fixedly coupled to a main valve element, is slidable within the sensing chamber along a first axis, and has an inclined cam surface. A plunger has a cam follower for engaging the cam surface and is slidable along a second axis between a first position when the valve element is in its deactuated position and a second position when the valve element is in its actuated position. The plunger is exposed to the sensing chamber. A sensing switch is coupled to the plunger for generating a switch signal indicative of the first and second positions. The valve body and the sensing body cooperate to form a fluid passage between the outlet port and the sensing chamber, and the plunger moves to the second position when the valve element is in the deactuated position if a fluid pressure greater than a predetermined pressure is present at the outlet port.

Valve state sensing module

A fluid control valve includes an adjustable soft start capability and pressure indicator device. The fluid control valve isolates an input port and connects an outlet port to an exhaust port when the fluid control valve is in its closed position. A system is provided for locking the fluid control valve in the closed position. The indicator device is used to provide an indication of the pressure within the outlet port to ensure safe operation.

A monitored fluid control valve is provided having a valve body with an elongated bore. A movable valve element is slidably received in the bore. A switch assembly has an aperture aligned with the bore. The switch assembly includes an electrical switch having a switch arm operatively connected to switch contacts for driving the switch contacts between an open state and a closed state. The switch arm is linked to the movable valve element so that the switch arm is directly driven to match linear reciprocation of the movable valve element.
