A structural member includes a body having a first surface, a second surface, and an end surface at an end portion of the structural member. The end portion of the structural member includes a root protrusion extending radially outward from the second surface of the structural member along a root protrusion radius to an outer end of the root protrusion to define a root protrusion height extending from the second surface of the structural member to the outer end of the root protrusion. The root protrusion further includes a root protrusion width extending between an inner edge and an outer edge of the outer end of the root protrusion. The root protrusion radius, the root protrusion height, and the root protrusion width are configured to define a stress protected weld root region isolated beyond and away from a root stress flow path propagated through the body of the structural member.

A robotic system includes a robotic arm, a base couple coupled to the robotic arm, and a controller. The robotic supports a work implement and is configured to move the work implement to perform an operation on a workpiece. The base is configured to be removably coupled to a mounting surface. The controller is in communication with the robotic arm, the work implement, and the base. Further, the controller is configured to disable the operation of at least one of the robotic arm and the work implement if a coupling parameter between the base and the mounting surface is below a threshold value.

The attachment body may be structured such that the attachment body defines a set of angles of the tip during the programming of the robotic device. The recess may be sized such that the recess defines a distance between the tip and a workpiece during the programming of the robotic device.

A power limiting stress-strain monitor system for a machine includes at least one stress-strain sensor supported on a structural component of the machine. The power limiting stress-strain monitor system also includes an electronic controller including a processor and a memory. The processor receives a signal from the stress-strain sensor, determines a degree of stress-strain at a location of the stress-strain sensor based on the signal, identifies a machine system associated with the stress-strain, and modifies a control signal to the machine system based on the degree of stress-strain.

A system for measuring topography of the surface of a ground engaging tool is disclosed. The system may include a machine and the ground engaging tool. A phased array ultrasonic sensor may be associated with the ground engaging tool and configured to create ultrasonic pulses within the ground engaging tool. A communication device may be associated with the phased array ultrasonic sensor. A monitoring component may communicate with the phased array ultrasonic sensor via the communication device, and may be configured to receive signals from the phased array ultrasonic sensor and monitor the topography of the ground engaging tool.

The second surface includes a plurality of projected sections and defines a recess between each of the plurality of projected sections and a keyway recess. The second panel also includes a first protruding portion configured to be received into the recess and a second protruding portion configured to be received into the keyway recess. An erosion monitoring system is disclosed for use with a machine. The erosion monitoring system may have an ultrasonic sensor embedded within a replaceable cutting edge of a ground engaging tool connectable to the machine. The erosion monitoring system may also have a wireless communication element associated with the ultrasonic sensor, and a controller mountable onboard the machine in communication with the ultrasonic sensor via the wireless communication element. The controller may be configured to monitor a wear rate of the cutting edge based on signals from the ultrasonic sensor.
