The present disclosure relates to transparent ready-to-use hair bleaching compositions and compositions useful for preparing the transparent ready-to-use hair bleaching compositions. The transparent ready-to-use bleaching compositions typically include: (i) one or more oxidizing agents selected from the group consisting of persulfates, perborates, percarbonates, a salt thereof, and a mixture thereof; (ii) one or more non-acrylic thickening polymers; (iii) one or more acrylic polymers; (iv) hydrogen peroxide; (v) one or more polyurethane polyethers; and (vi) water. Kits and methods for bleaching hair also disclosed.

Transparent hair lightening compositions, kits, and methods of use

The instant disclosure relates to hair coloring base compositions and developer compositions that can be incorporated into a hair color cartridge, which combines the compositions and dispenses them onto hair. The hair color cartridge includes: (a) one or more hair coloring base compositions and; (b) one or more developer compositions, which can be combined to form an active hair coloring composition and dispensed onto hair. The hair coloring base compositions typically include one or more oxidative dye precursors; one or more alkalizing agents; one or more reducing agents; optionally, one or more cationic conditioning polymers; one or more surfactants; one or more water-soluble solvents; and water. The developer compositions typically include one or more oxidizing agents; one or more surfactants; and water. The unique components and fluid characteristics of the various compositions are such that devices or appliances comprising them accurately combine and dispense the hair coloring base composition(s) with the developer composition(s) in a predetermined ratio with excellent consistency for application to hair.

Hair color cartridge and compositions for use in the hair color cartridge

Disclosed are methods and compositions for altering the color of hair, comprising treating the hair with a pre-alkalizing composition and then treating the hair with a color-altering composition comprising at least one first oxidizing agent chosen from peroxides, persulfates, perborates, percarbonates, peracids, bromates, their salts and mixtures thereof, and further optionally comprising at least one fatty substance and/or thickening agent, and/or at least one second oxidizing agent. The methods may further optionally comprise applying onto the hair a coloring composition comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable carrier, at least one dye compound chosen from oxidative dye precursors, and direct dye compounds.

Compositions and methods for altering the appearance of hair

Disclosed are methods and compositions of lightening the color of hair that has been recently contacted with a relaxing or straightening composition, the method comprising combining a bleach composition comprising at least one oxidizing agent selected from the group consisting of persulfates, perborates, percarbonates, their salts and mixtures thereof, and at least one rheology-modifying agent, with a developer composition comprising hydrogen peroxide and a cosmetically acceptable carrier in order to form a lightening composition, wherein the pH of the lightening composition is from about 2 to about 7; applying the lightening composition onto the hair; leaving the lightening composition on the hair for a time period sufficient to achieve an increase of 1 to 4 in the tone height of the hair; and rinsing the hair with water.
