Ultrasound transducer element arrays using acoustic ensonification drive patterns via a patient interface for sonosensitizer activation in sonodynamic therapy. Incoherent acoustic field generation varying phase, frequencies, and/or amplitude via controlled delivery of low intensity planar acoustic waves.
