The first initialization information is stored in a first context. The system further receives a first request to attach the first context to an online collaborative workspace. The system further attaches the first context to an online collaborative marker that is associated with the online collaborative workspace. The system further generates a first interface based on the first context. The first interface includes the online collaborative interactive workspace including a first repair schematic including instructions for the first repair for the first vehicle. The system further receives a second request, over the network, from the mobile device that is also processed based on the first context.

An electronic garage shelf is described. The system includes an electronic garage shelf which may be a metaphor for a shelf in a garage that is used to store parts for a vehicle. Merely for example, the electronic garage shelf may store a token part that signifies a part or smart component such as an oil filter, carburetor, spark plug, on a garage shelf in the user's garage. Further, the metaphor for a shelf in the garage may be expanded to include a virtual part that represents a part or smart component the user wants to acquire. Accordingly, the system may include garage shelf information comprised of virtual part information and token part information where the virtual part information may store virtual parts signifying parts that are desirable for acquisition and the token part information may store token parts signifying parts that are in the possession of the user.

The first sub-system includes a plurality of parts and the scanning includes scanning the plurality of parts to retrieve characterization information from the plurality of parts to identify original equipment authentication information.

The system receives signal message information, over a network, from a collection device comprised of a plurality of mobile devices including a first mobile device and a second mobile device that are associated with a first user. The first signal message information includes a first maintenance message including characterization information that was received by the first mobile device from a component that includes a sensor that operates to sense a first part that is assembled into a vehicle. The second signal message information includes signal information that was received by the second mobile device including an audio signal that a microphone in the second mobile device sensed. The system analyzes the multi-signal information to diagnose a problem and communicate a message to the first user with a diagnosis of the problem.

A user may check-in to a vehicle so that the vehicle identifies the user, such as through providing identification to the vehicle using biometrics, logins, or other information. Using the identification, the vehicle may determine parameters and restrictions on use of the vehicle by the user. Parameters may include information about the user, such as age, health, or other statistic stored with the identification for the user, and may be utilized to determine restrictions on use of the vehicle by the user, such as a speed of the vehicle and passengers allowed in the vehicle. Restrictions may also be set for the user, including speeds of travel, routes of travel, and usage of media players in the vehicle. The usage of the vehicle may be monitored and enforced using the restrictions.

In response to the communication trigger, the system provider may transmit a modulated optical signal via an illumination source of one of the at least one vehicle and an external actor, to the other of the at least one vehicle and the external actor. The system provider detects, at the other of the at least one vehicle and the external actor, the modulated optical signal and demodulates the transmitted optical signal.
