A portable electronic device (PED) holder for a passenger seat back. The PED holder includes a backstop pivotally attachable to the seat back and a shelf pivotally attached to the backstop. In use, the backstop is configured to rotate to a position outside of a recess formed in the seat back and the shelf is configured to rotate open. When the PED holder is fully deployed, the shelf is substantially horizontal and an angle formed between the backstop and a vertical axis is no greater than about negative 45 degrees, such that when a tray table is stowed the closing motion of the tray table causes the shelf to fold against the backstop and the folded PED holder to rotate into the recess. The present disclosure further provides a passenger seat including the PED holder and a PED holder assembly installable as a kit of parts.

A device for constraining rotational motion of an actuator such as a seat actuator during a dynamic event. The device includes a first part attachable to a fixed frame member and carrying a first clip, and a second part attachable to an actuator and carrying a second clip. Prior to and following a dynamic event sufficient to cause actuator rotational motion the first clip and the second clip are disengaged. During the dynamic event the second clip is configured to engage the first clip to momentarily stop rotational motion of the actuator such that load on the actuator passes through the actuator shaft into the frame. In embodiments, the device is configured to minimize actuator deformation during a dynamic event while allowing a full range of standard motion during normal use of the actuator.

A tray table assembly and a passenger seat arrangement including a tray table assembly. The tray table assembly includes a tray table coupled to a motion path element determining a motion path of the tray table between stowed and deployed positions. In embodiments, the motion path element may be implemented as at least one of a helical shaft, helical slot, and helical ramp. The motion path combines rotational and vertical motion such that an angular change of the table caused by rotational movement simultaneously causes an elevation change of the tray table. In some embodiments, the tray table may lower when rotated toward the deployed position and raise when rotated toward the stowed position.

A compressible cushion may include a base structure and a plurality of foam layers positioned on a seat pan of the aircraft seat. The plurality of foam layers may include a first foam layer stacked on the base structure, and at least a second foam layer stacked on the first foam layer. A density of the at least a second foam layer may be less than a density of the first foam layer. The first foam layer and the at least a second foam layer may be cut at a length corresponding to a length of the seat pan when in an extended position. The first foam layer and the at least a second foam layer each may include a plurality of cuts, which may be configured to compress when the seat pan actuates between the extended position and a retracted position.

A dress cover for an extendable cushion may include a first section and at least a second section. The first section may be fabricated from a first, expandable material and the at least a second section may be fabricated from at least a second material. The first section may include a compressed top surface length when the extendable cushion is in a retracted state, and an expanded top surface length when the extendable cushion is in an extended state. The expanded top surface length may be greater than the compressed top surface length. The dress cover may be configured to have a smooth side profile when the extendable cushion is in either of the retracted state or the extended state. The side profile of the dress cover may be viewable when an aircraft seat including the extendable cushion with the dress cover is in a lie-flat or bed position.

A contoured armcap for multi-seat occupant usage may include a top surface and a raised surface. The raised surface may be configured to separate the top surface into two areas. The raised surface may be offset from the top surface at a select height. The raised surface may be continuously coupled to the top surface via a set of sides. At least one side of the set of sides may be defined by a contour line. The two areas may include a first area configured to support a portion of an arm of a first seat occupant in a first aircraft seat coupled to a shared armrest including the contoured armcap. The two areas may include a second area configured to support a portion of an arm of a second seat occupant in a second aircraft seat coupled to the shared armrest including the contoured armcap.

An aircraft passenger seat assembly is disclosed. In embodiments, the aircraft passenger seat assembly includes an aircraft passenger seat, wherein the aircraft passenger seat includes a seatback configured to support an upper body of an aircraft passenger, and a seatback bezel defining at least a portion of a rear seatback surface. In embodiments, the aircraft passenger seat assembly may further include at least one privacy assembly, wherein the at least one privacy assembly includes a closeout body coupled to the seatback bezel, and a privacy panel coupled to the closeout body, the privacy panel extending from the closeout body in order to at least partially separate a seating environment of the aircraft passenger seat from an adjacent seating environment of an adjacent aircraft passenger seat.

An aircraft passenger seat assembly is disclosed. In embodiments, the aircraft passenger seat assembly includes an aircraft passenger seat including a seatback configured to support an upper body of an aircraft passenger, and a seat frame including at least one seat spreader disposed on a lateral side of the seatback. In embodiments, the aircraft passenger seat assembly may further include at least one privacy assembly. The at least one privacy assembly may include a closeout body coupled to the at least one seat spreader, and a privacy panel coupled to the closeout body, the privacy panel extending from the closeout body in order to at least partially separate a seating environment of the aircraft passenger seat from an adjacent seating environment of an adjacent aircraft passenger seat.

An aircraft cabin apparatus may include a top section, a bottom section, and at least one linkage assembly configured to support the top section in an open position following a rotation of the top section between a closed position and the open position. The top section may include a top surface configured to engage a first edge or surface of a laptop and a support structure proximate to the top surface and configured to engage a second edge or surface of the laptop. The bottom section may include two raised portions along each short edge of the bottom section and a cavity defined by the two raised portions. The top section may be configured to fit within the cavity defined within the bottom section when in the closed position, and may be set at an angle relative to the bottom section when in the open position.
