A system includes an outer completion string, an inner service string configured to connect within the outer completion string, and an upper completion. The outer completion string includes at least one isolation packer, a sand control assembly and a gravel pack extension disposed uphole of a washdown shoe in a bottom-most well zone. In a top well zone, the outer completion string includes a latch profile, a female inductive coupler, a gravel pack packer, and a sand control assembly and a gravel pack extension disposed downhole of the gravel pack packer. The inner service string includes, among other components, an inner concentric string that is concentrically arranged within a workstring creating an inner-annulus between the workstring and the inner concentric string. The upper completion includes a male inductive coupler that is configured to connect with the female inductive coupler of the outer completion string.

Multi-trip wellbore completion system with a service string

A method of completing a well in a single trip includes drilling a wellbore with drilling mud, miming a single trip completion string including an upper completion, a lower completion, and a packer between the upper and lower completions into the wellbore, displacing the wellbore to solids free fluid by opening or closing a circulation sliding sleeve disposed below the packer in the lower completion, opening the circulation sliding sleeve and spotting gravel slurry in a casing annulus, closing the circulation sliding sleeve and pumping the gravel slurry down the casing annulus into an open hole annulus while taking returns through a base pipe of a sand control assembly and production tubing of the single trip completion string, opening the circulation sliding sleeve, displacing the cased hole section to completion fluid, closing the circulation sliding sleeve, and setting the packer.

Single trip completion system with open hole gravel pack go/stop pumping

A completion string includes at least one isolation packer positioned between well zones of a plurality of well zones, and a sand control assembly and a circulating assembly each disposed uphole of a washdown shoe in the bottom-most well zone. A top well zone includes a return valve assembly, a production packer, and a second circulating assembly and a second sand control assembly downhole of the production packer. The completion string also includes an outer string spanning from the bottom-most well zone to the top well zone, and an inner production string concentrically arranged within the outer string, creating an inner-annulus between the outer string and inner production string. The inner-annulus is continuous from the washdown shoe to the return valve assembly, and the inner production string includes a production valve disposed between the sand control assembly and the circulating assembly in each of the bottom-most and top well zones.

Single trip wellbore completion system

A technique facilitates downhole operations, e.g. gravel packing and cementing operations, in a borehole. According to an embodiment, a service tool is releasably coupled with respect to a casing. The casing is used to run the service tool downhole into a borehole. In some embodiments, the casing is connected with a downhole completion, e.g. a sand control completion. A work string may then be conveyed downhole to the service tool and connected to the service tool. While connected to the work string, the service tool may be operated to perform desired downhole operations.

Cementing and sand control system and methodology

A technique prevents buckling of a service tool assembly during a sand control operation in a wellbore. A completion assembly and a service tool assembly are positioned in a wellbore. An anti-buckling mechanism is positioned to limit the buckling load effects that can otherwise be experienced by the service tool assembly during the sand control operation.
