A utility vehicle automatic transmission powertrain mounting includes a front isolator under an internal combustion engine, a pair of mid isolators under an adapter plate between the internal combustion engine and an automatic transmission, and a rear isolator over the automatic transmission. Each of the isolators is on a frame member of a rear portion of an off road or recreational utility vehicle frame. The utility vehicle powertrain mounting may be used with multiple engine options on off road or recreational utility vehicles having powertrains behind the seats and under the cargo bed. The utility vehicle powertrain mounting provides easy access to service, repair or replace the transmission, and provides support and stability for the engine during transmission work.

A continuously variable transmission cooling fan includes a moveable sheave cover attached to a drive clutch assembly of a continuously variable transmission, with a plurality of fan blades molded into the moveable sheave cover and arranged around the perimeter of the moveable sheave cover. Each fan blade may have a different length, curvature and angle of position than the adjacent fan blades. The continuously variable transmission cooling fan also may include a plurality of openings in the moveable sheave cover located radially inwardly from the fan blades.

A dual torque limiter on a utility vehicle having a gear train connected to a main shaft through a first slip clutch assembly that releases the gear train from the main shaft if torque exceeds a predetermined limit. The main shaft is connected to a rear drive train. The front drive train is connected to the main shaft through a second slip clutch assembly that releases the front drive train from the main shaft if torque exceeds a predetermined limit.
