A domestic steaming appliance for steaming food items is provided. The domestic steamer appliance includes a base; a steamer insert mounted in the base; a steamer cup located below the steamer insert; a removable water tank configured to hold water for feeding to the steamer cup, the water tank having a top that forms an air tight seal with the water tank when the top is in place on the water tank; and a feeder tube fluidly connecting the water tank to the steamer cup, the feeder tube being connected to the steamer cup at a steamer cup inlet. The water in the water tank is fed to the steamer cup by way of the feeder tube under gravitational force only.

A home appliance having an improved burner including an appliance body; at least one burner assembly supported in the appliance body to provide a heat source, the burner assembly including a burner head, an electrode and a venturi tube for mixing gas and air and directing the resultant gas and air mixture to the burner head for ignition by the electrode and flame output through the burner head, the venturi tube being formed from a material subjected to an electrolytic passivation process, preferably an anodizing process.

A home appliance, particularly a gas range including an appliance body, a cooktop on the appliance body, an oven cavity in the body, a gas-operable heating element in the cavity for heating the cavity to a cooking temperature and including a gas mixing pipe having an inlet open to the cavity for intake of gas and air for combustion. A ventilation channel extends through the appliance body intermediate the cooktop and the oven cavity. A fan is in the appliance body, the fan being in fluid communication with the ventilation channel for creating an airstream within the ventilation channel. An air conduit extends between the ventilation channel and the gas mixing pipe, with an air conduit inlet in the airstream and an air conduit outlet adjacent the gas mixing pipe to direct air from the airstream to the gas mixing pipe for combustion with the gas and air.

A home appliance defining a width direction and a depth direction, and a control panel extending along the width direction, the control panel having control element components mounted thereat, the home appliance including a chassis within the body adjacent the control panel; first and second spaced brackets mounted to the chassis adjacent the control panel, with fastener portions aligned in the depth direction; and a cross member extending in the width direction between the first bracket and the second bracket with control elements intermediate the cross member and the chassis, the cross member having a fastener portion at each widthwise end thereof and aligned in the depth direction, the cross member being mounted to the first bracket using fasteners aligned in the depth direction, and the second bracket using fasteners aligned in the depth direction, wherein the fasteners are removable from the depth direction.
