An assembly apparatus for assembling a floor panel can include a platform to support a base layer and a top layer of the floor panel. The platform can include a first wall configured to contact a first edge of the base layer and a first edge of the top layer. The platform can further include second wall adjacent to the first wall and configured to contact a second edge of the base layer and a second edge of the top layer. A sensor unit can determine whether the first edge of the base layer is aligned with the first edge of the top layer, and whether the second edge of the base layer is aligned with the second edge of the top layer.

Method and apparatus for assembling a floor panel

A floor tile including a plurality of ribs defining an upper surface of the floor tile, each rib comprising a flat top configured to be parallel with a floor, wherein a thickness of each rib tapers toward the flat top. The flat top configuration increases wet weather traction by transitioning into a specific taper to decrease the surface tension so that water will effectively wet off and not affect traction. The understructure of the tile can have commercial load bearing capacity and built in channels for water drainage.

Modular floor tiles and modular floor systems are described herein. A floor tile system includes a modular floor tile and a plurality of resilient support assemblies. The modular floor tile includes a top surface layer having a top surface and a bottom surface and a plurality of rigid support portions extending from the bottom surface. The resilient support assemblies are supported against the bottom surface and include an outer resilient support portion having a hollow interior, and an inner resilient support portion positioned centrally relative to the outer resilient support portion.

Modular floor tiles and modular floors are described herein. A modular floor tile may include a top surface layer, a plurality of edge surfaces, an interlocking mechanism for attachment to adjacent tiles, and a support system. The support system may additionally include a first rigid level and at least one resilient support member disposed under the top surface layer, the at least one resilient support member extending to a distance further from the top surface layer than the first rigid level. The at least one resilient support member may be compressible toward the top surface layer. A modular floor may include a plurality of interlocking tiles connected to one another. A method of forming a modular floor that includes an interlocking modular tile is also disclosed.

Modular floor tiles and modular floors are described herein. A modular floor tile may include a top surface, a plurality of edge surfaces, and a plurality of interlocking member for attachment to adjacent tiles. One interlocking member may include a protrusion having a curved interlocking portion. Another interlocking member may include a recess having a curved pocket portion. An interface between the curved interlocking portion of one tile and the curved pocket portion of another tile may allow pivot movement between the tiles. A modular floor may include a plurality of interlocking tiles connected to one another. Methods of forming a modular floor that includes a plurality of modular floor tiles are also disclosed.
