A steering roll connector assembly includes a roll stator. The assembly also includes a roll rotor telescoped in and rotatably coupled to the roll stator to allow relative rotation between the roll rotor and roll stator. The assembly further includes a lock-pin operatively engaging the roll rotor, and the lock-pin is releasable from the operative engagement with the roll rotor. The assembly yet further includes an arm extending from the lock-pin and operatively engaging the roll stator when the lock-pin couples to the roll rotor to prevent relative rotation between the roll rotor and the roll stator.

Lock-pin assembly

A steering roll connector configured to operatively engage a steering column. The steering roll connector may comprise a roll stator and a roll rotor telescoped in and rotatable with the roll stator. The roll rotor may have a wall and a surface, and the wall may define an opening for receiving the steering column. A slide may be supported by and movable on the surface from an unengaged position to an engaged position where the slide is positioned to engage and prevent the relative rotation between the roll rotor and roll stator. A spring may operatively engage the slide to causes it to be in the engaged position. When the steering column is received in the opening, a lever arm may operatively engage and pull the slide to the unengaged position.

Auto-lock assembly

A lock member for a rotary connector device includes a ring portion defining an aperture. Also included is a first leg. Further included is a second leg, wherein the lock member is moveable between a first configuration and a second configuration, the first configuration comprising the first leg disposed within a slot of a rotating member of the rotary connector device and the second leg disposed within a pocket of a fixed member of the rotary connector device, the second configuration comprising the second leg disposed within the slot of the rotating member and the first leg disposed within the pocket of the fixed member.

Lock member for a rotary connector device

A rotary connector including a first part, a second part rotationally coupled to the first part to form an interior of the rotary connector, and an electrical cable housed within the interior of the rotary connector. An over current protection device is housed within an integral space of the rotary connector and configured to provide over current protection for the electrical cable.
