According to an aspect, there is provided an elevator signalization apparatus. The elevator signalization apparatus comprises first receiving means for receiving floor information representing floor occupancy information associated with a building; output means for indicating floor occupancy to a user; second receiving means for receiving user associated information; and transmitting means for transmitting a control signal to an elevator controller based on the received user associated information.

A method for generating a control signal to a conveyor system, the conveyor system configured to serve at least a plurality of robots, includes receiving, in a control entity, a service call for a first robot, the service call being associated with a priority of the first robot; determining, by the control entity, the priority of the first robot; and generating, by the control entity, a control signal to the conveyor system to serve the service call for the first robot in accordance with the determined priority of the first robot. A control entity, a robot and a system are also provided.

Generation of a control signal to a conveyor system

The present invention relates to a method for initiating a data connection between a central server and a control unit communicatively coupled to an elevator, escalator or autowalk. The method comprises: receiving a trigger signal from the central server, wherein the trigger signal is delivered with a service of a mobile communication network into which the control unit is communicatively coupled to; detecting if the trigger signal complies with at least one pre-defined requirement; and in response to a positive outcome of the detection initiating a data connection establishment from the control unit to the central server. The invention also relates to a control unit for an elevator, escalator or autowalk.

Connection establishment in elevator system, escalator system or autowalk system

Elevators and other facilities in buildings and other constructed environments can be controlled remotely. In an advanced controlling method at least one person is guided through constructed environment along a predetermined route. When the route is known facilities, such as elevators, may be called or activated in advance so that the person guided along the route does not need to do it when arriving at the area of influence of the facility. When there are more than one person travelling the routes may be combined such that the central system controlling allocations of facilities may call or activate resources more than one person.

Allocation of facilities on a route

Modern elevators are computer controlled and a computer program sending service requests to an elevator system may be implemented in a mobile device. An API-manager is used in a mobile device for providing a common programming interface for all elevator related applications in the mobile device. The API-manager has a certificate that is used for identifying the person using the mobile device. Thus, it is possible to execute service requests that require authorization or access rights. When the identification is provided at the API-manager third party applications executed in the mobile device do not need own certificates. Furthermore, as the API-manager has a certificate service requests can be trusted also when the mobile application is provided by a third party.

Application programming interface manager

Public displays are used for various purposes. They are used for displaying any kind of information and even for controlling devices such as elevators. In order to provide best possible benefit the public display should be displaying information in a language that the viewer understands and in a manner that the user can read the text on the display. The user preferences may be selected and applied by requesting a user preference indication from a mobile device. If the room includes more than one person the user preference indication is received from a plurality of persons and the decision of user preferences to be used is done then based on the received indications.

Display language arrangement

The invention relates to a method in allocation of an elevator for a passenger of an elevator system, including a step of allocating an elevator for a passenger in a lobby of the elevator system, and thereafter a step of signaling the allocated elevator to the passenger before the arrival of the car of the allocated elevator at said lobby. The method includes the steps of obtaining traffic data describing traffic in said elevator lobby, and determining the signaling moment based on said traffic data, and thereafter signaling the allocated elevator to the passenger at the determined moment. The invention relates also to an elevator system implementing the method.
