A gaming system is provided that includes a gaming device which has at least one input device to receive an input from a player and at least one display device to relay gaming information to the player. The gaming system further includes a holographic image system configured to project a holographic image into a space outside of the gaming device. The holographic image system may be associated with a single gaming device, or which a plurality of gaming devices, such as a bank of gaming machines.

A gaming apparatus having a housing defining a display area on which immoveable display characters and moveable symbol displays are used to present a game outcome, is disclosed. Typically, the immoveable display characters provide background for the moveable symbol displays. A controller is used to cause movement of the moveable symbol displays so that at least one symbol corresponding to the game outcome is displayed. A method of playing a game using the aforementioned gaming apparatus is also disclosed.

Gaming device display and method of use

A gaming device including a game apparatus configured to allow a player to play a game including moveable prize objects is disclosed. The gaming device may also include a prize object holder configured to hold the prize objects where the prize objects are allowed to move within the prize object holder. A controller may be in communication with the game apparatus. The controller may be configured to determine a game outcome and to move the prize object holder to display the game outcome to the player. In another embodiment, a dynamic prize object which is distinguishable from all other prize objects may be included among the moveable prize objects where the dynamic prize object may be used to convey special prizes to the player.

A gaming apparatus includes a display device that has a several display surfaces that are visible to a game player. The display surfaces are formed by one or more organic light emitting diode displays. A controller is in communication with the display device and can display at least one game outcome.

A reel device for a gaming machine comprising a chassis configured to support the reel device and a reel structure attached to the chassis. The reel structure has a hub, a frame, and a spoke attached to the hub and the frame. The frame may define the periphery of the reel structure. The periphery of the reel structure may have media adapted to display a symbol to a game player. The reel may further have a board attached to the chassis and a plurality of light-emitting diodes positioned on the board, wherein the plurality of light-emitting diodes may be adapted to transmit light to at least a portion of the media. The light-emitting diodes may have a plurality of beam angles and output power levels.

In at least one embodiment, the present invention is directed to a gaming apparatus. The gaming apparatus may include a housing defining a display area on which at least one indicium representing at least one prize is displayed. The gaming device also may include a plurality of display characters. At least one of the display characters is configured to move and indicate at least one indicium. The gaming apparatus further includes a controller in communication with at least one of the plurality of display characters and configured to direct the movement of the display character. The controller is also configured to generate a random number and generate a game outcome based on the random number. The controller is configured to move at least one display character to indicate at least one indicium that corresponds to the game outcome.

A gaming apparatus has several primary gaming devices. Each of the primary gaming devices is configured to accept a wager and to generate a bonus qualifying event. A central display device is mounted in association with the primary gaming devices. The central display device has several flexible belt displays having indicia thereon.
