The present disclosure provides a method, performed in an accessory device, for managing remaining wear time of the ostomy appliance (e.g. managing remaining wear time of the ostomy appliance, e.g. of the base plate disclosed herein). The accessory device comprises an interface configured to communicate with one or more devices of an ostomy system, the interface comprising a display. The ostomy system comprises a monitor device, and/or an ostomy appliance configured to be placed on a skin surface of a user. The ostomy appliance comprises a base plate. The method comprises: obtaining monitor data from the one or more devices, determining the remaining wear time of the ostomy appliance based on the monitor data; obtaining a user request to take into account at least a part of context data, in response to obtaining the user request: obtaining the at least part of the context data, adjusting the remaining wear time based on the at least part of the context data; and communicating, via the interface, the adjusted remaining wear time.

Methods for managing remaining wear time of a medical appliance and related accessory devices

Embodiments for determining an ostomy appliance wear time based on location data are disclosed. In an embodiment, an accessory device for an ostomy system comprises a monitor device and an ostomy appliance. The ostomy appliance comprises a base plate. The accessory device comprises: a memory, a processor, and a monitor interface coupled to the processor and configured to communicate with the monitor device and obtain monitor data from the monitor device coupled to the ostomy appliance. The processor is configured to determine an operating state of the base plate, determine a location of the accessory device, and determine an actual wear time of the ostomy appliance based on the operating state and the location.

Apparatus and methods for determining medical appliance wear time based on location data

The present disclosure provides a method performed in an accessory device. The accessory device comprises an interface configured to communicate with one or more devices of an ostomy system. The interface comprises a display. The ostomy system comprises a monitor device, and/or an ostomy appliance configured to be placed on a skin surface of a user, wherein the ostomy appliance comprises the base plate. The method comprises displaying, on the display, a notification settings user interface comprising one or more control objects including a first control object, wherein the notification settings user interface is configured to adjust notification setting parameters of an ostomy user application. The method comprises while displaying the notification settings user interface, detecting, by contact, a first input directed to the first control object, in response to detecting the first input, in accordance with a determination that the first input meets one or more first control criteria: adjusting, based on the detected first input, a first notification setting parameter that corresponds to the first control object; and displaying an updated first control object in the notification settings user interface.

Methods of configuring ostomy notifications and related accessory devices

An accessory device for an ostomy system is provided and includes a monitor device and an ostomy appliance. The ostomy appliance includes a base plate, and the accessory device includes a memory, a processor, and an interface coupled to the processor. The interface is configured to communicate with the monitor device. The interface includes a display device and is configured to obtain monitor data from the monitor device coupled to the ostomy appliance. The processor is configured to determine an operating state of the ostomy appliance, determine respective locations of one or more changing rooms based on the operating state, and output to the display device directions to a changing room of the one or more changing rooms.
