Provided is a dryer and a method of controlling the same that may determine whether drying is complete based on a temperature difference between a temperature of air discharged to a drum and a temperature of air flowing in from the drum. According to various embodiments, the dryer includes a drum; a heat pump; a duct configured to accommodate an evaporator and a condenser of the heat pump, heat air flowing in from the drum and discharge the air to the drum; a first temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature of the air discharged to the drum; a second temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature of the air flowing in from the drum; and a controller configured to determine that drying is complete, based on maintaining a difference value between the temperature of the air discharged and the temperature of the air flowing in below a preset value.

Dryer and method of controlling the same

A clothes-treating apparatus includes: a housing including an accommodating space to accommodate clothes therein; and a plurality of air conditioning modules provided inside the housing and different in an air conditioning function from each other, wherein each of the plurality of air conditioning modules is provided to be switched over between an exposing status in which the air conditioning function is activated and a blocking status in which the air conditioning function is inactivated, and a first air conditioning module among the plurality of air conditioning modules is in the exposing status while a second air conditioning module is in the blocking status. Thus, the clothes-treating apparatus prevents the air conditioning functions of the plurality of air conditioning modules from being offset by each other, thereby improving the effects of the air conditioning functions and extending the life of each air conditioning module.

An oven has a sensor including a light-emitting portion for outputting light in a first wavelength band and light in a second wavelength band and a light-receiving portion for receiving light reflected from a cooking product in the oven. A processor to, when a user command for initiating cooking is input, output the light in the first wavelength band through the light-emitting portion. When the light output from the light-emitting portion is reflected from the cooking product and received by the light-receiving portion, the processor determines the size of the cooking product on the basis of the received light in the first wavelength band, and outputs the light in the second wavelength band through the light-emitting portion while the cooking product is being cooked on the basis of a cooking time determined according to the determined size of the cooking product.

Disclosed is an air conditioner for creating a comfortable indoor environment. The air conditioner includes an indoor unit configured to have a carbon dioxide remover for filtering carbon dioxide from indoor air to supply clean air into a room, and discharging the filtered carbon dioxide to the outside, an outdoor unit configured to have an oxygen generator for separating oxygen from outdoor air introduced from the outside to supply the separated oxygen into the room, and discharging residues from which the oxygen is separated to the outside; and a processor configured to control the carbon dioxide remover and the oxygen generator to discharge the filtered carbon dioxide and the residues to the outdoor together. According to the disclosure, by first removing the carbon dioxide from the room and then discharging the carbon dioxide and the residues while operating the oxygen generator, a piping installation operation by a simple piping structure as well as an efficient operation is possible.

Food monitoring apparatus, refrigerator including the same, and operating method thereof

A dryer is disclosed. The dryer includes a heat exchanger configured to remove moisture from air flowing and heat and discharge the moisture-removed air, a drum containing a material to be dried, a humidity sensor configured to detect a humidity of the air flowing from the drum, a fan configured to generate a flow of the air flowing along a flow path formed so that the air discharged from the heat exchanger flows to the heat exchanger via the drum and the humidity sensor, and a processor configured to determine a dried state of the material to be dried based on the humidity detected through the humidity sensor, and the humidity sensor is disposed at a position where a flow velocity of the air is equal to or higher than a predetermined velocity in the flow path formed between the drum and the heat exchanger.

Disclosed herein is an electronic apparatus and method capable of identifying a state of an object. The electronic apparatus includes a light-emitting diode array configured to transmit light beams having different wavelengths, a photodiode array configured to receive the light beams, a display, and a processor configured to control the light-emitting diode array to transmit the light beams having the different wavelengths toward an object, identify a state of the object based on intensities reflected on the object according to the light beams having the different wavelengths that are received by the photodiode array, and display information about the state of the object on the display.

An article storage apparatus includes a sensor device sensing gases included in air in a chamber where an article is stored; a concentrator concentrating the gases contained in the air; a filtering device filtering the gases contained in the air; and at least one processor. The at least one processor controls the concentrator to concentrate the gases contained in the air, and identifies a condition of the article based on a concentration level of a target gas related to the article measured by the sensor device when the target gas is extracted as gases desorbed from the concentrator pass the filtering device.
