A light emitting device is provided. The light emitting device includes a blue light emitting diode (LED); and phosphors including first to third phosphors, wherein the first phosphor is excited by light emitted from the blue LED, emits light having a main wavelength of about 495 nm to about 510 nm, and includes BaSiON:Eu or (Ba,Sr)SiON:Eu where 0&#x3c;x&#x3c;1, the second phosphor is excited by light emitted from the blue LED, emits light having a main wavelength of about 555 nm to about 575 nm, and includes LuAlO:Ce or (Lu,Gd)AlO:Ce where 0&#x3c;x&#x3c;1, and the third phosphor is excited by light emitted from the blue LED, emits light having a main wavelength of about 580 nm to about 605 nm, and includes (Ca,Sr)AlSiN:Eu where 0&#x3c;x&#x3c;1.

High color rendering light emitting device including different phosphors

Disclosed are phosphors and, more particularly, yellow light emitting phosphors and light emitting device packages using the same. The yellow light emitting phosphor includes a first phosphor to emit light having a central wavelength located within a band of 510 nm to 550 nm, a second phosphor adapted to be mixed with the first phosphor to emit light having a central wavelength located within a band of 560 nm to 600 nm, and a third phosphor adapted to be mixed with the first and second phosphors to emit light having a central wavelength located within a band of 610 nm to 630 nm, the third phosphor having a light absorption rate of 50% or less at a wavelength of 550 nm.

Yellow light emitting phosphor and light emitting device package using the same

A light module may include a base having a first side and a second side, and a light source on the first side of the base and having a light emitting diode (LED) to emit light in a direction away from the base. A plurality of cooling fins may be provided on the second side of the base, the plurality of cooling fins including a first set of fins having a first height and a second set of fins having a second height, wherein the first height is less than the second height. A driving circuit may be provided on the first set of cooling fins having the first height, wherein the first set of cooling fins are provided between the driving circuit and the second side of the base.

Light module and module type lighting device

A lighting device may be provided that includes a light member having a light emitting diode (LED) to emit light in a first direction along a first axis, and a housing having a base to support the light member, and having a plurality of cooling fins that extend in a second direction away from the base. A plurality of holes may provide an air flow. Each hole may be provided through the housing from a first side of the base to the second side of the base. Each hole may correspond to an area between two separate ones of the cooling fins.

Lighting device

A lighting apparatus is broadly disclosed and embodied herein. The lighting apparatus may include a heat sink, a first reflector provided over the heat sink, a light emitting module provided at the first reflector, an enclosure provided over the heat sink to surround the light emitting module, and a second reflector provided over the light emitting module. At least a portion of the light emitted from the light emitting module may be reflected at least in a direction a prescribed angle below a horizontal plane of the light emitting module.
