A liquid crystal display includes a first substrate including: a display area including a plurality of pixels on the first substrate, a non-display area which is disposed on an outside of the display area and in which a dummy wire is disposed on the first substrate, and an image input hole which is defined therein in the non-display area and in which an image input device is disposed, a second substrate facing the first substrate and including a display area and a non-display area corresponding to those of the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates, and a sealant which is in the non-display area of the first and second substrates and seals the liquid crystal layer between the first and second substrates. The dummy wire is disposed near the image input hole.

A display device includes: a first substrate; a second substrate overlapping the first substrate; a common electrode disposed on the second substrate; a column spacer disposed between the pixel electrode and the common electrode; and a plurality of pixels. Each of the plurality of pixels includes a transistor disposed on the first substrate and a pixel electrode electrically connected to the transistor through a hole. The display device further includes a plurality of column spacers disposed between the pixel electrode and the common electrode. The plurality of column spacers include a main spacer having a first height and a sub-spacer having a second height that is different from the first height. At least one of the main spacer and the sub-spacer includes a first spacer having a first planar area and a second planar spacer having a second planar area that is different from the first planar area.

The display device includes: a first substrate that comprises a first base substrate, an insulating layer located on the first base substrate, and a barrier layer located on the insulating layer; a second substrate that faces the first substrate; a liquid crystal layer that is located between the first substrate and the second substrate; and a first spacer that is located between the first substrate and the second substrate and is in contact with the first substrate, wherein the first substrate further comprises a second spacer that is located on the barrier layer and overlaps with the first spacer.

The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device that prevents a color shift by allowing two sub-pixel areas to have the same transmittance. A liquid crystal display device according to the present invention includes a data line that includes: a connection portion having a direction of extension perpendicular to that of a gate line; a first portion oriented at a first angle with respect to a direction of extension of the connection portion; and a second portion oriented at a second angle different from the first angle with respect to the direction of extension of the connection portion, and wherein an angle between a rubbing direction of the liquid crystal and the connection portion satisfies (where &#x3b8;is the angle between the rubbing direction of the liquid crystal and the direction of extension of the connection portion, &#x3b8;: the first angle, &#x3b8;: the second angle).

There are provided a method of manufacturing a thin film transistor and a display including a thin film transistor. The method of manufacturing a thin film transistor includes forming a barrier layer cm a substrate, forming a semiconductor layer on the barrier layer, forming a gate insulating layer on the semiconductor layer, forming a gate electrode on the gate insulating layer, forming an offset region on an external surface of the gate electrode through a plasma heat treatment process or an annealing process, etching, an offset region of the gate electrode, etching a gate insulating layer except for a portion of the gate insulating layer, positioned below the gate electrode, forming an interlayer insulating layer on the gate electrode, and etching, the interlayer insulating layer to form a source electrode and a drain electrode.

A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display, including: preparing a substrate on which a switching element, laminating a conductive material layer and a conductive metal layer, forming a first photosensitive film pattern on the conductive metal layer, the first photosensitive film pattern comprising a first region having a first thickness and a second region having a second thickness greater than the first thickness, forming a conductive metal pattern by etching the conductive metal layer using the first photosensitive film pattern as a mask, forming a second photosensitive film pattern that exposes a part of the conductive metal pattern by removing the first region of the first photosensitive film pattern, forming a common electrode by etching the conductive material layer by using the conductive metal pattern as a mask and forming an auxiliary electrode by etching the exposed conductive metal pattern using the second photosensitive film pattern as a mask.
