Disclosed is a method for providing Electronic Program Guide (EPG) information in a digital multimedia broadcast receiving terminal, which includes causing the digital multimedia broadcast receiving terminal to convert the EPG information of a broadcast channel previously stored into corresponding audio data delivered to a headset communicating with the digital multimedia broadcast receiving terminal, and causing the headset to output the audio data received, whereby the user may recognize the channel information by using only the wireless headset, without having to view the terminal.

Apparatus for providing electronic program guide information in a digital multimedia broadcast receiving terminal and a method therefor

Provided is a function of providing a recordable time considering remaining memory capacity. To implement this function, an average reception rate of broadcasting data received for a predetermined time (e.g., several seconds) is calculated, and the recordable time is calculated using the calculated average reception rate and the remaining memory capacity. By doing this, even if the amount of broadcasting data to be recorded varies according to broadcasting programs, the amount of broadcasting data to be recorded can be predicted, and thereby, a user can efficiently record a desired broadcasting portion by actively determining whether the broadcasting is recorded.

Method of providing recordable time according to remaining memory capacity and terminal therefor

A mobile terminal that has a display unit separable from a main unit and a method thereof are provided. The main unit includes a first separation sensor for sensing separation of the display unit; a radio frequency (RF) transmission unit for wirelessly transmitting data to be output to the display unit by radio; and a main unit controller for setting a path of the data to be output to the display unit to the RF transmission unit if the separation of the display unit is sensed by the first separation sensor. The display unit includes a second separation sensor for sensing separation from the main unit; an RF receiver unit for receiving data transmitted wirelessly from the RF transmission unit; a display controller for setting a path of the data input to the display unit to the RF receiver unit if the separation from the main unit is sensed by the second separation sensor; a memory for storing the data received by the RF receiver unit; and a display module for displaying the data stored in the memory.

Mobile terminal having display unit separable from main unit and method thereof

A home network system for supporting continuity of data transfer destined for an MS (Mobile Station) when the MS moves between wireless nodes, comprising a server for storing multimedia data and a network connecting the server to the MS via the wireless nodes. A first wireless node, while transferring predetermined data from the server to the MS, senses that a connection with the MS is cut off. The predetermined data to be transferred to the MS is then buffered in one or more of the wireless nodes at a time point of disconnection with the MS, and the first wireless node maintains a connection with the server. A second wireless node in the home network system establishes a connection with the MS and, in response a data transfer request from the MS, provides the buffered data to the MS.
