An example electronic device includes a display, a communication circuit, a memory, and at least one processor configured to, based on a signal for requesting transmission of identification information including a call word for using first mode of an artificial intelligence assistant function of the electronic device being received, from another electronic device, through the communication circuit using first communication method, control the display to display a user interface for requesting user confirmation for transmission of the identification information; control the communication circuit to transmit the identification information to the another electronic device as a result of user confirmation through the user interface; and receive information for using a second communication method from the another electronic device.

Electronic device and control method therefor

An electronic device and a control method therefor are disclosed. The disclosed electronic device includes an input part, a communication part, a processor, and a memory, wherein the memory may include instructions for controlling the communication part such that the processor requests identification information including a call word for using an artificial intelligence assistant function to another electronic device when an event for requesting configuration of a first mode in which the artificial intelligence assistant function of the other electronic device can be used occurs, for controlling the communication part to receive the identification information from the other electronic device through the communication part in response to the request, and transmit a user command to the other electronic device based on the identification information if the user command is received during operation of the first mode of the artificial intelligence assistant.

The electronic device includes an audio module including a plurality of audio reception units and a plurality of audio output units and a processor electrically connected to the audio module and configured to receive sound via the plurality of audio reception units, generate antiphase signals based on waveforms of the received sound, determine directions in which to emit the antiphase signals, based on locations of the plurality of audio reception units, and emit the antiphase signals via the plurality of audio output units.
