Disclosed herein is a drum washing machine having an improved motor mount structure. The drum washing machine includes a tub having a coupling part; a drum rotatably installed in the tub; a motor bracket installed at the coupling part; and an elastic member having a cylindrical shape and disposed between the motor bracket and the tub, wherein the elastic member comprises a rib protruding in a radial direction from the inner circumferential surface of the elastic member, and the rib has the longest protrusion at a longitudinal center of the elastic member.

Drum washing machine

Provided is a washing machine including a rib extending outward from a central portion of a rear portion of a tub. One end of the rib is provided adjacent to the central portion of the tub, the other end of the rib is provided adjacent to an outer side of the tub, and since a width of the one end of the rib is greater than a width of the other end of the rib, thereby maintaining efficient rigidity against stress generated in the rear portion of the tub. When the shaft is inserted into the shaft insertion hole, at least a part of the shaft is closely contacted with the shaft insertion hole to minimize the tolerance between the shaft and the shaft insertion hole, and the rotation shaft of the pulley and the center axis of the shafts may be made to coincide with each other, so that the noise generated by the rotation of the pulley can be effectively reduced. The dishwasher further includes a drive unit to drive the reflecting plate assembly, and a cam unit to transmit driving force of the drive unit to the reflecting plate assembly. The drive unit includes a motor to generate rotational force, and a belt forming a closed loop and caused to make cyclic movement by the motor. The cam unit is engaged with the belt to transmit power of the belt to the reflecting plate assembly. The cam is alternately engaged with first and second portions of the belt to cause the reflecting plate assembly to reciprocate.

In a washing machine including a damping device provided to damp a vibration transferred from a washing tub, the damping device includes a suspension member, a damping unit provided to move along the suspension member, and a friction unit provided in the damping unit to form a frictional force with the suspension member, and the friction unit is disposed while being spaced apart from an inner surface of the damping unit to be selectively movable depending on a level of the vibration of the washing tub.

Damping device and washing machine including the same

A dish washing machine is provided herein. The dish washing machine includes a switching assembly configured to change a direction of washing water sprayed by a spray unit. The switching assembly includes a switching unit configured to change the direction of the washing water. The switching assembly also includes a damping unit configured to lessen vibrations of the switching unit. Using this structure, the direction of the washing water is efficiently changed by the switching unit, and vibrations and noise are lessened.

The present invention relates to a washing machine which includes a cylindrical part having a cylindrical shape and at least one balancer installed in the cylindrical part. The balancer includes a first balancer housing provided with a race in an annular shape with an open top and a second balancer housing to be coupled with the first balancer housing to cover the open top of the race. The balancer is installed in the cylindrical part in such a way that a coupling portion of the first balancer housing and the second balancer housing corresponding to an inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical part is covered by the cylindrical part, thereby reinforcing a strength of the balancer by the cylindrical part.

Balancer and washing machine including the same

A washing machine having a ball balancer to reduce vibration generated during dehydrating process and a vibration controlling method thereof are disclosed. In a washing machine having a ball balancer, a dehydrating process starts while residual water having a preset water level remains in the tub without draining water completely when entering the dehydrating process, and the quantity of residual water is set differently according to eccentricity so that excessive vibrations of a tub may be reduced using the weight of the residual water while passing through a resonant point. Speed of a motor is maintained at a preset speed lower than the resonant point for a preset time to release balls in the ball balancer so that excessive vibrations of the tub generated by concentrated balls and unbalanced laundry may be surely reduced. After passing through the resonant point, the residual water is drained to reduce drain noise and to prevent delay of dehydrating time.
