A cooling apparatus includes a compressor; a condenser for condensing a refrigerant discharged from the compressor, an expansion valve to expand the refrigerant discharged from the condenser, and an evaporator to evaporate the refrigerant discharged from the expansion valve and to deliver the refrigerant to the compressor. The compressor includes a rotary compressor having a displacement volume less than about 3 cc, and refrigerant circulating inside the cooling apparatus includes at least one of R290, R600a, R123a, R1234yf, and R1234ze. The cooling apparatus and compressor attain miniaturization and high efficiency.

The compressor which compresses and discharges refrigerant includes a casing defining an external appearance thereof, at least one cylinder including an inner space, a rolling piston which eccentrically turns in the inner space, a vane which radially abuts the rolling piston and divides the inner space into a suction chamber and a compression chamber, and a vane chamber recessed outward of the inner space such that the vane advances and retreats, a plurality of plates disposed above and below the at least one cylinder so as to define the inner space, an injection line provided in one of the at least one cylinder and the plural plates, and a check valve installed on the injection line.

The present invention provides a non-PGM catalyst for burning carbon soot without using a noble metal, the non-PGM catalyst comprising: a cerium-praseodymium complex oxide and an iron oxide, the cerium-praseodymium complex oxide impregnated with silver (Ag). The cerium-praseodymium complex oxide illustratively consists of 60 to 95 wt % of cerium oxide and 5 to 40 wt % of praseodymium oxide, and silver (Ag) impregnated in the complex oxide is 1.5 to 3.0 parts by weight of the total weight of the complex oxide. The iron oxide may be an oxide in a form of particles separate from the cerium-praseodymium complex oxide in which silver is impregnated, and may be 0.5 to 2 parts by weight of the total weight of the cerium praseodymium complex oxide.

An air conditioning apparatus including a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, an indoor heat exchanger, and an expansion valve to depressurize a refrigerant. The refrigerant is formed of hydro fluorocarbon (HFC). The compressor includes a compression unit to compress the refrigerant, a motor unit to provide rotational power to the compression unit, and an oil accommodation portion to store oil to reduce friction between the rotating shaft and the compression unit and lower a temperature of the compressor, and the oil contains a carbon nanoparticle. Even when an HFC-based refrigerant producing high discharge temperature in a compressor is used, deterioration of the compressor due to the high temperature is prevented. In addition, by lowering the operational temperature of the compressor, the reliability and performance of the compressor using the HFC-based refrigerant and the air conditioning apparatus using the same may be enhanced.
